I'd had a pair of these shoes for a couple of years previously, and they were simply brilliant, much more confident on small edges, with no rotation of my foot inside the shoe. I take a size 10 in normal shoes, and tried a pair of Miuras before, size 9 1/2, but found them very uncomfortable,, so gave up the idea. Strangely when I later tried a size 9, yes they were tight, but the fit was otherwise great.(Encouraged me to develop the good habit of taking them off b/w climbs!) I'd probably hesitate to buy them on-line unless I already knew the shoe well. However, these were going for about £30 less than RRP and I knew I wanted another pair. The velcro strap with Miuras can be vulnerable to tearing where they run through the buckle....several people I know had this experience. I managed to get one of the bits of webbing replaced with a strip of leather for a couple of quid at a local cobbler. Toes wore out eventually, hence replacement.
