which gave one insight into the attitude of the hated British empire army during the 1st WW

An unlikely subject for such a prolific writer of Welsh books. This page turner was very well written and researched book about prewar Iraq, which gave one insight into the attitude of the hated British empire army during the 1st WW.The arabs and the Turks treatment of the very sympathetic main protagonist who described in detail. He used by British officers act as a spy but to tell you how, would spoil the story. this is not solely a mans book about the armys adventures, but the romantic aspects of his relationship are beliveable. It is a long book but not padded out to supplement the ending. I shall read more by this author, but I shall be predjudiced if she hasn't written more about Mesopotamia.
