Also, i read some of the other complaints people are talking about and have no idea, no dimming, no brightness issues, its probably the brightest of the 3 monitors I own, no audible buzzing..

Is it worth the extra 400$ compared to other monitors? Hard to say, but if you can afford it its nice - more of a luxury than a requirement.

Outstanding picture quality. A little bit more like a TV in that it comes with a remote and I'm forever turning it off to avoid 'burn in' but it's not too much of a nuisance.

With HDR on or off, this panel is just too dim for competitive gaming. It looks great, is super thin and the 240hz is awesome, but it gives off a constant quiet (but auidable in a quiet room) buzz and with HDR on you can see the rest of the panel brighten/dim whenever you bring for example a large white square in a portion of your screen. Flashbangs look grey on CSGO somehow too lol, probably again tied to the brightness. I also notice slight flickering of the screen when using certain brighter settings on the monitor. Truly a horrible monitor for gaming unless I am missing something.

Edit: I returned it - can't fault amazon on that. Full screen brightness is actually quite bad - when you buy one of these open notepad and make it fullscreen, you'll see the dip in brightness. It's massive.

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know title sounds dumb, but I feel like I need to point out something I've not seen in other Amazon reviews. This has a fan for cooling and from what I can gather it's 50/50 as to whether yours will be audible or not. Mine is and it's really making me consider returning it, going to give it a few weeks and see how it goes though.

Other than that it's a great monitor. The main negatives I've seen against it are brightness and the matt coating.

Brightness wise at least in gaming I haven't had any issues although if for example you're looking at a mainly white website you definitely notice the auto dimming.

Secondly the matt coating... Yes if you go right up to the screen you can for sure see the slight graininess it introduces to very bright areas, but in normal use its probably a non issue - especially if you're used to PC monitors (pretty much all non oled monitors have this matt screen finish)

I have an LG oled TV too and this monitor is definitely a step up from average PC monitors though not quite at the level of the TVs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unglaubliche Farben, schnelle Reaktionszeit, gute Verarbeitung
Reviewed in Germany on 13 November 2023
