For its size and price, this is a pretty amazing little Bluetooth speaker. It's about the size of a slightly squashed doughnut so will fit easily into a bag, or even a coat pocket, and there is a strap on the back if you want to attach it to your backpack for example. Charging is thankfully via the ubiquitous micro usb connector (which is covered by a piece of rubber because this speaker is splash proof) rather than a proprietary charger. There is no wall plug included but you have probably already got several micro usb plugs in your life so this won't be a problem for most. Pairing with a bluetooth device is straightforward. There is a small instruction booklet included but if you've used a speaker like this before, you will almost certainly be able to figure it out. There is an option to boost the bass output; I think the speaker sounds better with this on, and also to have the light run that runs around the edge of the speaker either on, off or flashing. The light is only one colour but it is still a nice option. You can connect via a standard 3.5mm cable if the music source you want to hear doesn't have bluetooth. Battery life is stated at around 6 hours which is fairly short I think, although it did charge fairly quickly when plugged into a higher power usb plug. If you are looking for more music than this, then you'll have to look elsewhere.
The bottom line with any speaker though is how does it sound. The reason I've given this product five stars is because for its size and price, it sounds fantastic. There is no discernible hiss and it gets loud enough to fill a reasonable size room. The bass is punchy, the top end has good clarity and the mid range isn't murky at all.

Have to admit that I laughed when I took this item out of the box: "no way is this oversized black biscuit going to be a pleasant listening experience." - but I was wrong.

After pairing it in the expected way with my phone I loaded up some thrash metal and was sonically punched in the face. It gets sufficiently loud for a palm-sized item that it's almost magical. I will say that it's not the best sound I've ever heard as the bass (boost can be turned off) can sometimes punch out the highs, but for a travel speaker I can't really criticise it much. And this really is a travel speaker compared to its bigger competition. It's sturdy and grip-y and is easily tossed into a pocket or put on bags/clothing with the included strap.

The controls work as music transport controls too and you can use it as a speakerphone. So it's as useful for the boardroom, perhaps, as it is a camping trip. Speaking of which, the still or flashing white light (can be turned off) would be useful, or as a very sad personal disco!
With IPX4 waterproofing and a thick mesh cover you're not going to worry about a bit of rain on it. Though you wouldn't dunk it in the bath, of course.

The unit came charged enough and you've also got a USB cable for charging the device (there's no AC adaptor though, so you'll need your own for the wall). Playback time is 6 hours, which is reasonable for a small and light device. If you don't want to use wireless, you can also plug in a 3.5mm cable.

For the RRP I'd give it 4/5 but at the discounted price I think it's full marks. Bear in mind that I'm more familiar with bigger Bluetooth speakers than small, but on general observation I'm sufficiently impressed by this audiOreo...

I love this little Bluetooth Speaker! My car has no way of linking my phone to the speaker system so I wanted an easy portable way of using music on it to hear easily while driving without having to mess and break the law or risk doing so. This seemed the ideal solution. It's great because....
- it linked easily with my Nokia Lumia Windows Phone
- when Bluetooth is on it auto connects every time with a little discrete bleep noise
- the light around the edge can be turned off to avoid distraction during night time driving
- it's easily loud enough to hear clearly
- if it needs to be off quickly one button on the side does it so your phone can be out the way in the glove box
- it is so small, fits in the palm of my hand
Very pleased overall with this. Five stars at the moment but will update if any problems occur or if the battery life is an issue after some longer term use. Battery so far is still good after a week's use of short trips.
