lg ips235v 23 inch led wide screen monitor

A friend of mine recommended that I get a ips monitor but which model and make. so i went on Amazon and checked out the reviews on different makes. I came across the LG IPS235v and all reviews were good. I purchased the monitor on the strength of the reviews and I must say it is very very good. There was no need to adjust anything the factory settings were spot on to my eye although you can alter them to suite your needs. video quality is great. I would highly recommend this monitor the price is excellent for what you get.

just a update on the monitor I have not had the monitor very long and I am having a problem with it . I use a hdmi connection to my computer and the monitor keeps going off for 30 seconds then back on in ten minute intervals. i contacted the seller and was told the best thing for me to do was send the monitor back to LG. there was no address for the LG company to send it to in the reply. I must say I thought the company I bought it off would have been more helpful and said please return to our selves not send it back to the manufacture.

I was after a new mintor that I could wall mount, on a two arm pivot, and this was one of the few that I could find.
Reading many of the reviews I sometimes wonder if they are talking about the same product? This is an excellent monitor with a superb anti-reflective screen - that can be seen from any angle. As it's a PC monitor why would one want to view it from anything other than more or less square on, I do not know!
The bezel is a nice matt finish, which finishes it off.
OK - it is a bit wobbly on the stand but this is of no concern to me.
And there are no in-built speakers but see my review of the Ricco 25 USB speaker.

All in all I can thoroughly recommend this monitor.

Great IPS panel, built quality could be better

This is fantastic monitor for design, photography, Web and other professional use. It comes pre-calibrated so all colours are as they should be. Image quality and viewing angles are much better than standard TN (cheaper type) panels. Overall it is a great monitor for professional use.

I take one star off for a built quality which is a bit shaky. The socket panel where you plug in all the cables has not been fixed properly on my monitor and is quite shaky. But once you plug in all cables and do not move them it's OK. Screen itself is flawless.

This monitor has a matt screen so it is not quite as brilliant a picture as my glass fronted one, but of course you don't get any annoying reflections when viewing a dark picture. It is well constructed and has a quite stable stand but with no rise and fall, only tilt. The menu is very easy to use if you need to but I haven't changed anything, it was a very good image straight from the box. The only thing I find against it is I have to turn it off completely otherwise the blue standby light, which is quite bright, keeps flashing.

It has a good, clear picture, great for viewing my paintings and photos on the internet and on my PC. I just wish it was easier to attach the HDMI lead from my Mac Mini - I have to use one monitor with two PCs.
