With LG NetCast TVs you will also be ready for future online services which can be updated onto your LG TV."
LED
LG LED TVs produce a sharper, more detailed picture with a superior contrast as well as an ultra slim design compared to LCD TVs. LED TVs have tiny lights either around the edge of the TV (known as Edge LED) or directly behind the TV (known as Full LED). This model has LED lights around the edge of the TV frame giving you an ultra slim TV that is perfect for wall mounting. LG LED TVs are also more energy efficient so you will save 40% of power consumption compared to LCD TVs saving you up to £100 per year
USB Input
Connect your digital camera, M-P-3 player or flash memory using the U-S-B port to show off your latest holiday snaps, music collection or High Definition DivX movies for a true multimedia experience.

The set up is very straightforward, as is the Freeview auto tuning and channel sorting. The AV connections are very straightforward and the connected aspects are very easy - I chose to use an Ethernet cable. HDMI sourcing is excellent and the picture quality is superb. Sound is not fantastic, but then on a device this thin I'd never expect it to be exceptional.
If there is anything at all I'd fault this on it would be the fact that LG have designed a beautiful very thin device and then put all the cable sockets on the back outward facing. This means if you're wall mounting you can't take advantage of the very slim brackets. However, I've still managed to wall mount it relatively flush with the wall and it looks great.
I've so far connected up a Wii and a PS3. BlueRay playback is super in native mode, and the 100hz refresh makes for smooth gaming.
All in I'd definitely recommend this TV.
I recommend this LG TV - LED backlit, 100 Hz & HD freeview receiver.
The Picture quality is excellent, after tweaking settings for TV & for each input connected (the settings for each input are saved).
The LG menu interface is very good.
Sound is clear but if you want full dynamic sound connect some speakers.
It is a shame LG does not have a separate volume control for the headphone socket as connecting headphones cuts off the TV speakers.
To resolve this I connected the optical digital output to a digital to analogue converter & connected headphones to that. I bought my converter from Maplin (code A14KF)for £29.99(offer price), it also has other outputs & volume control. This allows myself to enjoy louder & better quality sound (I use Panasonic RP-HT225 headphones) while still allowing others in the room to hear the TV. (I'm sure that other suitable D to A's are out there even on Amazon but this one had useful functions).
I used a LAN connection for the NETCAST function. The BBC iPlayer at max quality is excellent.
The remote is good with clicking only on the OK & arrow buttons. There is a Keys Light Up button on it if necessary.
To sum up a Brilliant led back lit TV & easy to use.
1. When using the Energy Saving feature and any menu is pressed the screen goes fully bright that hurts the eye and this is rather frustrating
2. The automatic time fails to change to BST
Very good product, well featured, and good value.
Makes the sitting room look very nice now
The price I paid for this was the best I could find anywhere - I trust Amazon - probably more than Currys, etc to delivery goods at the correct prices.
This TV is excellent, full HD, LED edge lighting, Freeview HD ready, USB x 2, HDMI x 4, Component HD, VGA for PC/Laptop and Network port too...
I have used my PS3 to play a bluray disc - stunning... I also love that this TV will play .MKV files I use to store my ripped BD-Discs in 720p and it works flawlessly with H264 video codecs and any audio.
The menus are excellent and easy to follow - the energy saving is excellent - you can even ask it to tell the TV not to leave the "standby light" on whilst it's actually in standby - by doing this it actually comsumes 0W when in standby - or free to leave in this mode in other words.
I cannot describe how happy I am so far with this TV - the colours are far superior to my previous 2 LG TV's and the sound is equally as good.
The next best thing is how this TV looks - it is - and I am not kidding - less than 2cm deep (without the stand) - this will look awesome on any wall. It's shallower than many actual pictures frames.
Thrown a few different types of media at it, DVD, BD-Disc, PS3, Xbox and all played excellently.
I would highly recommend this TV or indeed it's bigger 42" bigger brother (which shares the same internals except the screen)
Highly recommended!
