Great little amp. Let me explain what I was trying to do and why I chose this amp. Basically I wanted to pipe music into my large kitchen with high ceilings. I already have a good AV/Hifi setup in the lounge, with full size speakers and surround speakers. I wanted to have the same music piped to the kitchen. I mostly use Spotify. I wanted to do it all on the cheap, and also because I find it fun to source all the bits myself and get a solution which is not "off the shelf". SO I bought a MUZO Cobblestone wifi streaming thingy (find it also under DIGIFUNK here on Amazon). Tested that with some tiny pc speakers and worked fine, but wanted something beefier to fill the room. I had a couple of old Bose Acoustimass speakers which I mounted on on the wooden beam which stretches across my kitchen. I bought this little amp based on the predominantly positive reviews, and was not disappointed. Hooked up to the Bose speakers it sounded good but lacking in bass, which is what I would have expected as the Bose speakers are very small. I now needed a passive sub I could somehow wire in. Got a passive Pioneer sub from Richer Sounds for £4.99 yes £4.99. It is very solid but quite low profile which is what I wanted so I could put it out of sight on top of kitchen wall unit and hidden by the pelmet. Of course the Lepy amp lacks a connection for anything except left and right speakers, but looking on the net I found plenty of people simply feeding a passive sub (passive meaning a subwoofer without its own built-in amplifier) by hooking its wires into either the left or right speaker connections on the amp. I also read all sorts of horror stories warning against this, talking about frying the amp, overheating etc. but as is usual with me I just ignored the warnings thinking - what's the worst that can happen ? All I can say is I have had this working for over a week now, listening for several hours a night at about half to two-thirds volume. It is a revelation - with the passive subwoofer it has transformed it into a rich and open sound, very detailed, with plenty of bass, but not overpoweringly so. If I add up what I paid: £17.99 for the amp, £4.99 for the Pioneer subwoofer, £40 for the wireless Muzo Cobblestone, I have got myself a multiroom system for the princely sum of £63. Now I know you can get a bluetooth speaker for less than that, but with a proper wifi device like the Muzo hooked up to this amp and proper speakers, you get much better range, and by using a half decent pair of existing speakers you might have knocking about I can't see how you would ever get that quality of sound with a bluetooth speaker. Getting back to the amp, some people have said the tone controls are rubbish. I haven't found that to be the case at all. In fact I prefer the sound with the treble turned up to just over halfway and the bass at about two thirds the way up. Each to his own I suppose. The volume is plenty for me - I can't see a situation where I would ever want to turn this up full. I am right on the edge of annoying the neighbours as it is. I have not been able to get the amp warm at all. It is as cool as anything. Oh, and it's size means you can mount it discreetly, in my case under the overhang of kitchen worktop island unit. All in all a great little Chinese made amp that does exactly what it says. If only I could turn it on and off remotely like I can my AV receiver but for 17.99 what can one expect. Very pleased !

2 x White 5" 80W 8 Ohm Dual Cone Ceiling Speakers so I could listen to my echo dot in my bathroom.
The speakers are water proof, so are protected against the steam in the bathroom during use. I placed the echo dot in the attic and connected it to the LEPY Amp via the aux out socket and then connected the speakers.
I use the echo dot voice remote to request songs, and the music is pumped out to the two speakers I have installed into my bathroom ceiling. We love having baths and showers now, with music playing. BRILLIANT.

I had two old Sony speakers in the loft dating from 1974 which came with a Sony Stereo receiver/amplifier. I didn't know why I was keeping them until I saw the LEPY 2024A Plus Amplifier - Silver/Black on Amazon. Connecting the speakers is a very simple matter since this amplifier accepts the bare wires which just clip in. The input to the amplifier can be via a stereo mini-jack plug for modern equipment or via standard phono sockets for vintage equipment. It doesn't matter what type of lead you use - either will work. I connected this amplifier to an old Bush Freeview box which I also had in the loft. This particular Freeview box has phono output sockets for connection to a hi-fi. I made a simultaneous connection to the television set using a SCART lead and updated the channel list. Then I selected Classic FM. The results were amazing! You could almost believe you are in a concert hall.
Notes:
1. If your Freeview box does not have phono output sockets, you will need a SCART to Phono adapter or a SCART to phono lead.
2. If your DVD player plays CDs you can play them via this amplifier.
3. You can play MP3s, YouTube video sound by connecting your tablet, laptop, chromebook etc.
4. If you have a 1970's turntable with a magnetic pickup, you will need Behringer PP400 Microphono Ultra Compact Phono Preamp (or similar), also available from Amazon for a cheap price.
5. If you have a turntable or record player with a ceramic cartridge which has phono outputs you probably won't need a pre-amplifier.
6. This amplifier has just a single stereo input so you would need a switch box if you need to regularly change the input source. However, being forced to change the connectors around is only a minor inconvenience and a switch box is an additional unnecessary cost. The amplifier is very small and light and it is very easy to pick up and change the phono connector from the turntable to CD, cassette player, or whatever.
A good buy if you've got an old pair of speakers in the loft!

I'm using this in combination with a
Behringer PP400 Microphono Ultra Compact Phono Preamp assorted colour
for my Rega Planar P1 turntable and the results are fantastic.
The drive, bass and treble options add a great sound to the raw audio coming from the pre-amp if you're into that sort of thing but the straight throughput sounds good too.
It's a very well constructed device and I used the mounting brackets to attach it directly to my speaker system for neatness. That said the mounting bracket is a permanent thing and can't be removed which might put some people off.
