another great kit from lego - this was our first experience of Minecraft lego. My 7 year old son is a big fan of both minecraft and lego and was very happy to receive this for his birthday. At first, I was a little sceptical about the idea of a computer game that is a bit like lego, only stuff does stuff, being transcribed into low tech lego, but my son had no such qualms. He found it a very satisfying build, being just 7 it took him quite some time from start to finish but he did manage the whole thing without any outside help. He actually got up an hour early this morning to get some building in before school. The finished model looks great and surprisingly like the computer game, the regular blocky nature of the blocks and the lack of many specialised peices fits in well with the style of Minecraft. Ther is a lot to play with once built, steve, of course, an axe and a sword for protection, a dangerous creeper and a penned up pig. The house hinges open and the lid can also be removed. Would I recommend this? - if you like Lego and Minecraft then you will love it. My son is already working out which other set he wants to spend in birthday money on.
