There is 'no' collectable Iron Patriot mini figure with this standard edition! I have posted this review on the limited edition version with the figure with the additional figure description.

I've bought this Marvel Superheroes game for my Marvel Superhero mad cannot live without his Xbox son! Or was it really for. . . .me? :)

We must have nearly all the lego franchise games that have been brought out on the Xbox. The first was probably Bionicle and they've came a long way on since then. Lego Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter amongst our favourites in the past. Batman 2 DC Superheroes probably the best!

This Marvel Superheroes game easily beats the lot by a long shot in my opinion.

The story in this game is that the Silver Surfer comes to earth to herald the arrival of Galactus, chased by Iron Man and attacked by Doctor Doom his surfboard is destroyed and breaks up into cosmic bricks that are spread worldwide. Loki and Doctor Doom assemble a team of villains to collect the bricks for devious purposes of course!

Nick Fury calls upon The Avengers and various other Marvel Superheros to try to stop Loki and Doctor Doom. . . .

The game play is brilliant as ever. Great comical dialogue from the characters with some great in-jokes, brilliant movie quality cut scenes, tons of side games alongside the main story game mostly set in a spot on Lego version of New York/Manhattan in which you will find all the well known landmarks such as Grand Central Station, The Empire Estate Building, Central Park as well as the well loved Marvel landmarks of The Daily Bugle, The Baxter Building, Oscorp, Stark Tower and more! I'll let you find them yourselves!

I have played many of the Lego games in the past (Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter x2, most to 100% completion) and this is BY FAR the largest and longest Lego game I have ever played. The amount of little things you can do in this games is incredible and it makes exploring the open world New York extremely interesting. The levels are much longer and varied than ever before and the amount of playable Marvel characters on offer is mind blowing really. There's characters to unlock that I never knew existed in the Marvel Universe!

Gameplay is as you would expect from a Lego game, simple but varied, and most importantly fun. I'm certainly not a child anymore but I still enjoy the rewarding gameplay. As stated above this is a long game and I think after completing all the main story levels first play through I was on about 20% game completion. It's once you get down to exploring Lego New York City and start doing little side quests, collecting yellow bricks, saving Stan Lee from peril etc. the game slowly reaches 100% completion. Saying this however, there was not one point in my time playing that I thought it was tedious or irritating. There is always something different to do or collect when you move about the city.

A little gripe that has been mentioned before by others however. The controls for a flying character such as Iron Man are frustrating at times. The idea is great and there's no better way to get around the city than flying above the skyscrapers but the handling controls could have been so much better. The right stick should have been used to control flight height but instead this is operated by pressing A or B (Xbox). These controls are particularly annoying in the many flying mini-races and I fear kids will struggle to complete these.

Although the game I received from amazon arrived damaged and was returned I bought this game elsewhere I really love this game. I bought it to play it with my daughter as a two player, we both love it. She is 4 years old and she seems to be able to complete missions with a little bit of help from me fine. The characters you would want are all here. There are a good mixture of missions and free-play within the game. The only issue is that some missions are a little harder and there aren't any hints also within a mission it is a little frustrating to have to play as a character that you don't want to be. But the missions do use the characters in the Marvels avengers movies so my daughter knows them quite well. A brilliant game which I highly recommend as its very fun.

“Lego Marvel Super Heroes” is an action-adventure videogame that is part of the ongoing Lego saga, and based on the Marvel universe (both the comics and films). It’s a really fun game, intended for children (age 7+) and adults. It follows the gameplay style of the other Lego titles (such as ‘Batman’ and ‘Star Wars’), and is a vibrant, colourful, and humorous videogame.

You can play as one of 180 characters, each with their own unique abilities (e.g. Spiderman can spin webs, while the Hulk can throw and smash large objects). There are several environments to roam around in, such as Lego versions of New York City and Asgard. There are 15 missions in the single-player campaign, as well as 12 side missions. To complete the story will take about 8 to 12 hours (and to collect all pieces and fulfil all the objectives will take about 100 hours) – so there’s plenty of entertainment value with this game.

There are lots of fantastic characters to play as (and to fight against), from Silver Surfer and Doctor Doom to Magneto, Iron Man, and Wolverine. It’s great to experience this crossover Marvel universe, with the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spiderman, etc.. The ultimate aim is to thwart the attempt of Galactus to conquer the Earth.

This is one of the best Lego videogames available. It has a 2-player cooperation mode (using the same console). It has fantastic graphics, a good story, and great music. If you’ve enjoyed any of the other Lego games then I recommend this one.
