There is 'no' collectable Iron Patriot mini figure with this standard edition! I have posted this review on the limited edition version with the figure with the additional figure description.
I've bought this Marvel Superheroes game for my Marvel Superhero mad cannot live without his Xbox son! Or was it really for. . . .me? :)
We must have nearly all the lego franchise games that have been brought out on the Xbox. The first was probably Bionicle and they've came a long way on since then. Lego Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter amongst our favourites in the past. Batman 2 DC Superheroes probably the best!
This Marvel Superheroes game easily beats the lot by a long shot in my opinion.
The story in this game is that the Silver Surfer comes to earth to herald the arrival of Galactus, chased by Iron Man and attacked by Doctor Doom his surfboard is destroyed and breaks up into cosmic bricks that are spread worldwide. Loki and Doctor Doom assemble a team of villains to collect the bricks for devious purposes of course!
Nick Fury calls upon The Avengers and various other Marvel Superheros to try to stop Loki and Doctor Doom. . . .
The game play is brilliant as ever. Great comical dialogue from the characters with some great in-jokes, brilliant movie quality cut scenes, tons of side games alongside the main story game mostly set in a spot on Lego version of New York/Manhattan in which you will find all the well known landmarks such as Grand Central Station, The Empire Estate Building, Central Park as well as the well loved Marvel landmarks of The Daily Bugle, The Baxter Building, Oscorp, Stark Tower and more! I'll let you find them yourselves!
You'll come across over 150 characters during this game and be able to be many and will have their abilities in gameplay including The Hulk who is bigger than the others and obviously much stronger and has other abilities I won't give away here! Deadpool with his katana and guns, Blade, Captain America, Ant Man, Mr Fantastic and Thor to name but a few and I mean a few!
Here's a list of most of the characters of which loads are playable!

Bit geeky I know :)
There's character villains and heroes alike there from Avengers, The Fantastic 4, Spiderman, X men and other comic books. There's quite few vehicles involved too along the way which you will recognise and tons of cool weapons and special powers to use!
I could go on and on but I won't. If you are familiar with Lego games then you know what to expect here. Great fun, great game play, loads of side games, great graphics, great cut scenes and brilliant dialogue from the characters with loads of jokes thrown in.
This game is suitable for 7 to 70 year olds and a must have for any Lego/Marvel/Superhero fan!
Super recommended!

Small scratch prevented us finishing game!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 March 2023
Played really well for a month, my son and I completed loads of levels, then when we got to the Xmen School level we got a message saying disc was unreadable and it ended the game!!! We are so disappointed. Thoroughly check any games you receive from these people for scratches and if it won't save to your console hard drive, it will eventually crash.

Lego Marvel Superheroes is a great game. It’s everything a true Marvel fan could ask for, bringing all of the beloved characters and some not-so-loved ones all together. Once again, Tt Games pulled through and delivered. While it’s not the best Lego Game (that would be Lego City Undercover), it’s definetely worth your time and money.
The plot is the only bad thing that I have to argue about. It’s very weird, complicated and not that interesting. Until the 9th level, it seems like each level is an independent story that travels you through Marvel’s most iconic locations and allows you to play as Marvel’s most popular characters. But, after that, you have to deal with stupid and poorly designed levels.
Speaking of levels, besides the main story, the game offers 11 bonus levels which are just AWESOME!!!! Why? Because they include everything that made the golden age of comics cool. They lure you with their characters and their exciting, yet simple stories. One time, you will be fighting Dormamu in his house as Susan Storm, Human Torch and Doctor Strange and another time you’ll be trying to spice up Tony Stark’s party as Iron Man and War Machine. And the icing on the cake; they’re narrated by the merc with a mouth himself, the one and only Deadpool!!!
My favorite levels are Biofrosty Reception, Juggernauts And Crosses, House Party Protocol and Nuff Said.
Graphics are unbelievable! They look so realistic and pleasing that I never get tired of them (that is shown especially in Bifrosty Reception). The characters are implemented the way they should be and none of them feels rushed or forced. And there’s an additional feature: you can play as the Man himself, Stan Lee !!!!!! OK, that’s amazing!! He has almost every ability in the game, but just the idea is genius.
The overworld is New York City and SHIELD’s Hellicarrier, where lots of challenges, quests, hidden bonuses, characters and vehicles await you. I did get a little frustrated with the races and the flying controls, but once I got the hang of it, I had tons of fun. Quests can get tiring, but I particurarly enjoyed some.
In conclusion, Lego Marvel Superheroes is a true gift to Lego and Marvel fans. It captures the essence of why we love Marvel on the first place and expands on it. So, if you’re a Marvel fan, buy this game. You won’t be dissapointed.

Well, it's Lego. So you run/jump/fly/zip around, destroy everything in your vicinity for coins, switch characters to use special powers, defeat end bosses by using their patterns, and gather minikits by exploring every rabbit hole. The city is quite 3D now, which is pretty fun. Also there's a map and ghost runner who is guiding you to the next POI.
And it's Marvel, so you see an All Star cast, every super hero/villain and their cousin have an appearance. You gotta save the world from all supervillains working in accord, yadda yadda. Story is simple enough for a 7 year old to follow, yet has enough in-jokes to carry the adults along.
The critique I have is that Lego focuses its games more and more on video sequences and smashing stuff, instead on figuring out how stuff works. Also, it is brutal to see e.g. Wolverine slicing his opponents, Lego or not, in half. I am simply not happy about these trends, and think the earlier games had way more value with regards to depth and less explicit violence.
