Simply this i dont do reviews but at this juncture i find that myself compelled in doing so.
i used a real expensive in ear equipment for a few years now, and it has finally let me down.
Now a replacement was needed with the addage of getting used to using these equipments . in a gig situation you grow to these and its hard to go back to relying on wedges, ( you get my drift ). so with the help of AMAZONS kick butt service i took the liberty of having this LD 100. as a get me by because of the gigging schedule..
to my Suprise it actually works better than the more expensive purchase big name brand that i had before, in fact. for a third of the price?!?.
the issues i have read on the other reviews like thin sounding no bottom end is resolved by EQ adjustments.
it does exactly what it suppose to do.
WELL DONE !! LD Systems.
The transmitter set-up button on my unit is a bit 'sticky' though. For example, it's now troublesome changing the frequency. Thankfully, I'd managed to get it set to channel 70 before it started to really play up. I think it's the buttons where the 'cheapness' of this item shows. That said, it's not drastic enough to warrant replacing the item because the frequency channel is rarely changed.
Apart from that slight gripe, the monitor works well in a loud rock band scenario, the body pack receiver is pretty robust and the sound quality is good even on the mono setting.
The perfect bit of kit for a 2-bit pub band on a budget - lol!
