It's an elasticated cargo net. Maximum stretch is about 50% of it's free length.
I'm a little disappointed with this product because it's significantly different to the one in the picture.
The hooks aren't simple wire ones but thick plastic. They don't engage very positively on the D Ring tie downs in my van.
The net is not as dense as the one in the picture meaning that smaller items can pass through.
In summary this product is ok but would be a lot better if it was as advertised.

Image implies net is at least 3 times more dense that it is. I was expecting 2'' openings across the net approximately give or take but this has 6'' square openings. Most things just fall through the gaps. As the net stretches these gaps get bigger. As another reviewer has already stated, you couldn't be sure to hold a football securely with this net.

I probably should have given this product only one star as it is useless to me and not as the image shown implies, however...

The overall size of the net was accurately described and If you are looking for a net to keep large boxes/items secure this would do the job. At under a tenner delivered I think this would be a decent purchase as it feels pretty durable.
Personally, I'd replace the plastic hooks with an alternative before use as their quality doesn't fill me with the same confidence as the net itself.
My purchase is being returned and I will look for another cargo net more suited to my needs.

The net starts out at near enough the size stated and easily expands a lot. I haven't tested it to the limits.
It was bought to hold down loose items, tarp, etc with my trailer. For that it is very good.
The hooks are quite large plastic. Not clear from the photo.
You don't need big muscles, the elastic stretches easily. This also means that the ability to restrain objects is low. Bear this in mind if you are thinking of anchoring down a wardrobe in a trailer. But a final layer, after proper tie downs and over a tarp it is very good.

Potential buyers note that the spacing of the netting is much wider than it seems in the photo - ie.: the gaps in the netting are larger than suggested by the picture. I would advise seller to use a more accurate picture or provide dimensions of net spacing. Had to send it back for this reason as the wide gaps made it unsuitable for intended use. Also, the thing absolutely reeks of petroleum - a really incredibly strong chemical smell.

VERY fast delivery(I use Prime), received well packaged and undamaged. After the 40mph winds we had in the UK last week my motorcycle cover was ripped and torn by the gales. So I thought I'd try this large cargo net to put over the top of the new cover I had to buy, it worked perfect and keeps the cover from blowing and fluttering in the winds. The netting is very stretchy and seems to be made of good quality material as are the attatchment hooks provided with the net. I can imagine this netting to have so many uses it would be a good idea to get another to keep in the boot of my car! When you first receive the netting you'll have the same hassle as i had once out the bag it will be a pain to unravel the netting as the hooks are grabbing everywhere, so unless you have a trained Octopus with you you'll have a struggle as I did. The best way I found around this is to take the hooks off first and then unravel the netting that takes about 2 minutes rather than 10 with the hookes attatched! Then throw the netting over whatever you intend to and reattach the hooks..Simples! The hooks are very easy to remove from the net and reattach, doing it the way I explained means you can put the hooks back on the net exactly where you need them to be. I would suggest storing the netting by removing the hooks first also.

This little product does exactly what I expected it to do. NB I hadn't appreciated - guess I should have done - that the cord of which it's made is elasticated and thus stretchy. Which means that it covers over bulky items in the boot of my car very well. NB I also use it attached to a pulley, to lift things up into and and down from my attic, through the attic hatch. Very handy.

I wanted something a little more sturdy and quite large to put in the ceiling of my T4.....sturdy plastic hooks that don't look as though they will break at the first touch!!! Strong elastic netting...I think it's that good I may order another two for the sides of my van!!!!!!!!!! excellent value for money.

Does a great job. Wish they did them in a greater range of sizes and widths, as this one was a little too big. So have had to move hooks around, which makes it look a bit scruffy. A made to measure choice would be the ultimate here and allow you to get a cargo net that would fit your need exactly, but the price of this one is great. Would have paid more for a tailor-made size option.
