My 17.3 inch laptop has an i7 and a gtx760m, and the i7 gets REALLY REALLY hot. The rubber feet on the bottom JUST about manage to balance on the edges of this cooler, making it useable.
The legs at the back allow for a slant, which increases airflow, and have proved sturdy enough so far to take the weight of the laptop plus my hand pushing furiously at the keys whilst gaming.
There is plenty of airflow, which is adjustable, you can clearly feel air moving well before you reach the maximum speed, which makes some noise.
Sadly, it doesn't make any difference to my temps, but that's clearly not the fault of this device, which is putting out strong amounts of air all across the bottom of the laptop. Instead it shows that cooling system in the laptop is already performing optimally, and just isn't man enough to keep the CPU cool (GPU never gets above 66C, CPU however reaches tj max of 100C)
Great cooler, especially for 15.4" and smaller laptops, lightweight and moves plenty of air at a really good price. Very happy.
Anyway, onto the product's performance. I was drawn to this particular product because of its six fans, which I had hoped would give me better and more uniform cooling than my old Akasa two fan unit. I was wrong. My laptop runs significantly hotter with this six fan unit than with my old two fan unit. In fact, within the first hour of usage, the heat from my laptop had loosened the adhesive on the top-mounted "Cooler Pad" sticker on the unit, which began to slide around as my laptop slid around. Which brings me to my second gripe: The top surface is too slick, allowing for too much sliding around of any laptop that has lost some or all of its rubber feet.
I'm not entirely convinced that the blue LED lighting is necessary, seeming like a pointless additional drain on USB power, but it does look vaguely pretty so I'll let that go.
On the positive side, I like that it has a variable speed control rather than just an on/off switch (though in my case I have it cranked up to full anyway). I also like the retractable legs at the back, allowing the choice of having your laptop flat or angled towards you (though as previously stated, your laptop will slide if it's missing any of its rubber feet).
In conclusion, it's a cooling pad. It works, but it's not amazing. Don't let the fan count of six sway you into thinking it's going to be better than a unit with fewer fans. It's not.Read more ›
I've had this cooler pad sine the middle of last month, and the plastic seems quite durable and strong but then again I haven't been dropping it everywhere.

Most of the fans have stopped working or do not start on their own so I have to push them with a pen or a pencil to get them turning.Published 13 months ago by Andrew
I plugged this in to my laptop, and I couldn't hear anything. I didn't think it was working, but when I lifted the laptop I could feel the cool air and see the blue lights. Read morePublished 15 months ago by NellieBean
Broke in about a week. It is very slippery making the laptop slide constantly.Published 15 months ago by Iustin Filip-Mucenic
