All this does is create a huge, almost violent cloud of steam and even with a very small amount of water, things like rice/pasta and even vegetables is a terrible experience. I had several overflows that nearly got into the parts of the microwave it should not have. Each time I cooked something as instructed it was never long enough. Ended up using MORE time and electricity (power) than conventional cooking.
And finally, the smell of the previous item becomes the smell that this item takes on, despite claims in the manual of otherwise.
A worthless piece of silicone. I'll probably bin it as it won't even be worth using to store food, no seal.
And finally, it is not even safe. You transfer it from the microwave at great personal risk. Hot liquid is just waiting at the edges to seep through onto your hand. There is no 'seal' as such just flaps. I cringe to think of how many accidents people could have had when transferring a soft, pliable piece of rubber filled with molten content that can easily burst out if you are not steady.
