and very useful in the garage I am so very pleased with it.
Firstly the hoover is light and very portable. Secondly it does have a good sized motor that picks up even glitter!!! However I was very disappointed that it arrived broken! Not quite what I had hoped for. I am now awaiting the item to be replaced.
In the meantime, I would say it's a great hoover if your not bothered about the robustness of the machine. Its made of quite a flimsy material and not sure how long it will last. The attachments and the nozzles are also very cheaply made - again not sure how long they will last and if I can purchase replacements pieces?
Suction and no bag so easy to use and empty on site.
Karcher customer service is ace.
Can't pick up leaves as shown on video. If it does manage to suck up a leaf any bigger than a jam jar lid the tube gets blocked and you have to swap it to "blow" to clear it out.
Flimsy tubes which bend when applying anything but the weediest pressure.
Power lead looks like it's come off a radio or electric toothbrush. Stupidly short.
Filter is hopeless after using for wet vacuuming and takes about a week to dry out. New filters are 20% of total cost of machine based on the 65 quid I paid for this 3200 version. Really?? 14 quid for a paper filter?? How on earth does that make any sense??!?
If you want a proper "man vac" then I recommend you pay more, buy British and opt for a Henry or a George. (I only bought the Karcher cos it was cheap and to protect my wonderful George from work abuse - which was why I bought him in the first place but then felt he was too good for that so he just stays at home, indoors in the warm!!!)
My company (a large, well known telco) provides very poor quality Earlex vacuums. After months of struggling with this piece of junk I decided to buy the Karcher and I'm so glad that I did. It wasn't quite as powerful as the Earlex BUT:
Is far better quality.
It has the ability to be used in both wet and dry situations.
Is light weight (in a good way, not in a cheap and nasty way).
Has a number of attachments.
Good quality filter.
Parts/spares are easily available.
Not too noisy.
My only criticsm is that the power cable could have been a bit longer but I think it is probably average length for this type of device. Also there's no secure way of storing it. There's a small hook that you hang the cable off but as mine is in and out of the van all day it tends to end up on the floor.
Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this vacuum for work or around the garage/workshop. If the cable had been a bit longer and it had a better way of storing I would have given it 5 stars. Despite that, recommended.
Used to suck water out of soft top car that had been mistakenly cleaned with pressure washer.
Was not initially unclear that the filter could be removed for cleaning(dry). Initially lost filter lock part in the bin. Would recommend using a soft brush to clean filter over a bin, any probably wear a face mask. You'll probably need a power extension for outdoor use as the power cable is not very long.
The blow function is achieved by removing the hose and re-attaching it to the diametrically opposite side of the cleaner.
Wet & dry facility
The whole machine is a con.
Filters very expensive and clog very quickly. After 10 minutes use I can suck harder on a Polo mint.
Short hose and short flex, I enquired about a longer hose and it was over 50% of the price of the machine!
Limited range of and very expensive extra tools. Non standard size hose - standard generic tools won't fit.
No adaptor available to connect to my power tools.
My main gripe is the useless filter system. Short-lived, very expensive cartridges, a good money spinner for Karcher.
My previous machine was a Bulldog wet & dry system, it used a filter 3 times the size, they lasted for months.
I won't be sorry to see the demise of this heap of junk.
