## Product Description

A polar graph is a math concept where the distance r from the center of the graph is determined by an equation. (r=1 would be a circle. r=sin(angle) makes loops)
Polar Graph:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_graph

Normally you start the angle from 0 and go all the way around to 360 degrees incrementing by some small amount. When you skip say every 80 degrees, you get something interesting. A Maurer Rose
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurer_rose

Trigonometrics takes this maurer rose idea and puts you in control of every aspect of the design. The size, location, color palette, amount to skip, and a multiplier for the angle (to determine how many petals your maurer rose will have).

Change the size and location:
The first button allows you to pinch, tap, and drag to change the size/location. If you let go while pinching in, you can have the design continue to get smaller.

Change the rainbow:
There are basically 2 rainbow palettes. One cycles through all the colors in their proper rainbow order. The other will randomly meander from color to color. Continually pressing this button will give you different rainbow options.

Control the angle:
Press this button and pinching, tapping and dragging will modify the angle skip parameter.

Control the wave:
This button, with pinching, tapping, and dragging will allow you to change the number of petals your rose has.

Bomb Button:
This will clear the screen but keep all your properties.

Whilst you can see the mathematics behind the graphing is sound, producing perfect asymptotes and sine functions. This app behaves like a hyperactive etchasketch, drawing so many lines so quickly that soon any beauty is lost as lines pile on top of each other.

It's almost completely unmanageable and just does it's own thing. The menus are non existent and there is no explanation of how to use the app. Avoid.

This really isn't worth downloading. I was looking forward to creating pieces at least similar to those in the pictures above, maybe something resembling the spirographs I loved as a child. Not a chance. It spews out random patterns which I can only seem to get by twisting with two fingers.

It really feels like an unfinished app. I have now removed this from my device

Does Amazon even check these apps, I thought they were meant to be free paid apps, we get apps with in game purchasing, apps that seem to be almost still at beta version and then this, Whats The Point, all it does is uncontrollable mess on ones screen.......don't bothered.

Given that one of the major selling points for this app is that you can 'make your own Spirograph' it's rather disappointing that it is in no way like making your own Spirograph. It just generates a pattern based on whatever settings the developer has programmed it to use, there is minimal scope for user input (in the form of options which aren't adequately explained and are haphazard at best), and the screen fills with a mess of colour in seconds. In my opinion, it wouldn't even merit one star if it weren't the free app of the day.

There doesn't appear to be any way of controlling the type of patterns produced and no stop button when you get a good one.. you also can,t save the patterns if you wanted to. My screen filled up and after pushing all the buttons in the hope of a save button, it went black and refused to do anything. Needs more work by the developer - shouldn't have been released yet.

Load of rubbish. Totally uncontrollable. Only gave a star coz i had to. The spirograph i remember and loved allowed you to make your own patterns. This thing just throws lines around the screen. Totally pointless.

I have a kindle and the app started creating pictures without me doing anything.. I just opened it and within seconds the screen is filled but I haven't made any efforts so really I am a little disappointed as I was looking forward to having some fun
