The lead is far too brittle, even just light pressure causes the lead to crumble and flake. The quality of the lead is also like a child's colouring pencil with a deeper than expected blue. Technical drawing blue lead is usually light so that feint construction lines may be produced. All in all, this lead is not suitable for technical drawing and I would not recommend nor purchase again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good leads, but more indigo than blue 25 Jun. 2012

I ordered one 12-piece container each of the blue (4300/11) and yellow (4300/3) Koh-i-noor 2.0mm leads from CzechArtSupplies on June 14 and they arrived from Prague by registered mail on June 23. It's nice that the leads seem to have the same hardness (presumably HB) as the discontinued Lumochrom colored leads. I'm somewhat disappointed, however, because I was expecting a more "central" blue. These leads look more like a dark indigo. I posted an image here with both the Koh-i-noor and Lumochrom blues. It shows that adding the Koh-i-noor yellow makes the Lumochrom blue into a nice green, but turns the Koh-i-noor blue a brownish hue.
I'm happy with the vendor and the quality, but I'm still looking for a bluer blue in 2.0mm leads.

1.0 out of 5 stars sub-par equipment 26 Jun. 2014

Dont trust anyone who says they are a professional artist and like these leads. not only where they all broken when arrived I soon found out just why when starting to use them. these leads are so brittle it is impossible to finish a long line without breaking behind the tip. even though the packaging was weak it doesn't matter too much because I would have snapped them all anyway trying to draw with them. I will never buy a koh i noor product again because it seems they have no perception of quality.

As a artist, good tools are very much needed. I love theses 2mm lead fills, they are hard to find.
