5.0 out of 5 stars Kofi Annan: A Spokesperson's Memoir 19 April 2013
By nancy kovacic - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This account of the person who brought his unique gifts to the work of the United Nations is informative, enlightening and written in a clear, crisp style. It is an account of world history that is starkly honest, and refreshing in its first hand accounting. I expect to find it on college book lists, and hope that it clarifies and corrects news accounts, as well as inform readers of the important work done during this Secretariat. We all benefited from Kofi Annan's time in this leadership role, as well as Fred Eckhard's accounting of it.

An excellent primer for anyone who wants to understand what the UN does while also reading about one of its most successful and well-liked Secretary Generals.
