I was hesitant to buy this as a lot of buyers are saying that it leaves residue on the record and stylus.
I went ahead and used the included cleaning solution, and this thing has performed miracles on some very noisy records. Most notably, Ghost's Ous Eponymous and Van Halen's 1984 both start with quiet intros. I had made the grave mistake of washing these records with tap water, washing up liquid and a dish sponge. You can imagine both of these records sounded like they were recorded next to a lively campfire when I played them back. I thought they were ruined and that I would have to re-buy them.
Both records were first to get cleaned with the Knosti. I slowly rotated them backwards and forwards inside the cleaning machine, and then left them to dry for a minimum of 1 hour.
When I played them back, the horrible campfire sounds were gone, and I was treated to a 95% flawless and quiet playback (still the occasional barely audible pop every minute or so, which is a drastic improvement on before.
After each side, there was a small build-up of fluff on the stylus. That was easy to remove with a few swipes of a stylus brush. On second playthrough after being cleaned, nothing more remained and the stylus and record both remained clear of debris.
I was ready to give up on Vinyl and stick with digital, as I couldn't process having to pay £15-£30+ for new records that sounded bad on first spin! This Record Cleaner has saved my interest in the medium and I am now buying records with confidence again.
I am happy to keep using the included liquid and had no problems with it. Maybe in the future I will experiment with a second bathing of each record with distilled water, but for now it feels unnecessary.

This really worked for me. After trying out different wet cleaning solutions and brushed, I kinda coped with the idea that some pops and cracks just belong to vinyl. Since I did not want to spend hundreds of Euros for a vacuum cleaner, so I gave this solution a try. I was a bit sceptical about the cleaning solution used in the set. It supposes to dry out and disappear without residue. But I have read actually that some folks have an issue with remaining residue. So I cleaned my whole mini-collection (about 30 records) and was really surprised with the results. Hard to even hear one little pop now The electric static is gone, as well as every noise whatsoever. Just clean and beautiful sound left. .
Although I have to say, that the advertised 7 minute drying time is waaay too low. Also, the rack does not collect the fluid away from the record. Usually, even if the whole record is dry, the outer rim remains wet on the point, where the record stand in the rack. So you need to carefully pick this up with a little piece of kitchen roll etc. The record has to completely try before putting back into the inner sleeve. Otherwise, I will smear and there will be a white residue on the record and you need to clean the thing again. But it's just about thinking a bit, no dealbreaker. Because of the fluid, it can be a bit messy. Have some kitchen roll ready to pick up the drops on the floor and table, from moving the record out of the cleaner to the drying rack etc. But as I mentioned, the results are, to me at least, perfect. The fluid can be reused. Just need to get rid of it after a year. But you can either use another solution or reorder just the bottle. Also, to fill the used fluid back into the bottle, you can use a coffee filter, since there is only 4 filter in the box.

Great product. Worked surprisingly well on mold, dirt, ground in dust. Brought records which havent been cleaned since the 1950s when they were first purchased back to new look and luster. From a sound perspective a huge improvement after a manual bath using two Knosti's. One with a 11ml solution of L'Art fluid and the rest deionised water. And the second bath purely for rinsing clean with only de ionised water. About 10 turns in each direction on the Knosti. Then the rinse clean second bath. Then onto the rack for drying.
I found no residue using this method.
An original first press Beatles and The Who came up so new .... it was like listening to a different record. And in most cases even heavily worn records improved dramatically. It's turned some grade good into at least VG+. I've noted that so far if any liquid mix gets onto record labels that it doesnt stain them or remove the glue which is also a relief. But for the cost of the unit and the price of a bit of molded rubber they could make an effort. The clamp has no rubber seal so liquid can and does get in. A third party site offers a better clamp for anyone worried. But to be fair any record I've cleaned the label was fine after (so far). Apparently even the new generation/versions have the same clamp leak issues.
Some people are happy enough with using a spray bottle with microfibre cloths also which would reduce costs but I will stick with the Knosti method. Works great! Very happy with the results...
