To preserve the condition of the Lithium battery, when the Boomer isn't used for an extended period, the batteries should rest at 50% charge. To achieve this, simply charge the Boomer to 100%, hold down the button for 5 seconds. This will turn the light on and automatically shut the Boomer off when the battery reaches 50% charge.

Update: the above was true until I had to recharge the battery. There is supposed to be an LED that comes on to tell you when the item needs recharging and when your are recharging it, when it has been fully charged. This light never came on and despite leaving it for at least four hours, had clearly not done any charging at all as the light then went off on the next use. It now does not work at all. Unfortunately, since I bought this in the summer and have not used it very much, it is now too late to return it.
Easy to use... it is just the initial method of finding out how to take the light out of its rubber casing
Bright- it may look a bit 'fashionable rather than functional' but surprisingly, this light is very bright.
