instructions are not that clear what size needles are #4? for example. Making garment in a bigger size explains how to work it out but there are no tension instructions given for the garment so how can you work it out? Vintage pattern with vintage attitude to say the least. I just adapted the pattern myself but for a beginner no chance at all. Glad it was only cheap. If I was you I would give it a miss find a more modern pattern SORRY
