It should in theory become boring after the 3rd, 4th or 5th page, but Usborne have cleverly themed the pages - there's one of a huge battle, with lots of gory stickers of knights falling from castles with swords through their middles, or arms falling off (I kid you not) but that's sort of the appeal - political correctness hasn't quite sucked the joy out of this yet. When you're bored of battling knights, there's the banquet page to fill in, or even the page on dressing each knight in his entire battle outfit, layer by layer.
All the subtleties of a good toy that adults can appreciate, are also here appreciated by the child too. Oh and did I mention that the illustrations, quality of the stickers, and short paragraphs explaining each page are also equally brilliant?!?
One of the biggest hits of his birthday - and I'm now going to buy more as gifts.
Illustrates and tells the story of how young boys would turn into knights and some of the training they would undergo to be the best they could be.
Recommended as a nice interactive learning book
This book is full of lovely illustrations and many, many strickers to complete the medievil events presented in this book (weopon making, entertainment, dragon quest etc) ...
Interest is maintained in the book while you can explain the diferent aspects of medievil life to your little ones.
