This is an ok read for this erotic genre but not better. However for the price of 86p you can't expect too much. I do want to read the other two stories in the trilogy and hope they improve and achieve what appears to be good potential. This storyline follows a parallel world with knights that are all male yet shapeshift to powerful animal forms and travel into our world through portals in search of Brides. In their world the ratio of men to women is 80% to 20% and so females are revered, wanted & claimed as brides without having to be Miss World lookalikes, so this storyline would appeal to the fantasies of many a hot blooded female within the many normal varieties they come in! Scuse the pun! The build up to the 'claiming' or consumation of the bride & grooms builds & builds but doesn't fully occur and the reader is left frustrated at this lack of action and fulfilment as opposed to what Ms Taylor could have enthralled her readers with if she'd given full vent to the promise she tantalisingly draws you into throughout her storyline. Shame! The other negative thing I find annoying is when up to 50% of another (or other) story is added onto the end in hopes you will purchase another story from kindle - this has several so the KB amount you think is the advertised story is reduced considerably by advertised add ons for this or other authors. A swizz & cheat that is purported by Kindle - if you listen to customers Kindle kindly stop it, a brief synopsis is all that is needed. Your way puts many like me off! However, a total page content would be very helpful - in hopes!!!

If you like this sort of thing, go for it while its cheap, not worth paying full price. Its currently better value to buy the wild wicked and wanton trilogy. This particular story took me about 45mins to read. The writing wasnt bad, its my favourite genre, but there was something lacking. Maybe it was because being short the male characters were not very well fleshed out, they seemed typical alpha male stereotypes. It also ended rather abruptly and the end felt rushed.

However, not a bad read, not boring, I liked the female lead, and there were some witty observations/comments.

Do not bother reading it. Even short stories there should be some connection to the characters in the book. Emotionless itis basically an excuse to write sex and has no feeling. the story needs fleshing out and the a childs stick drawing has more emotion and charisma than the heros/heroin of this story.

The story line is unique, but it was not riveting or spellbinding. Maybe because the story did feel rushed and not enough fleshed out. The warmth or "feelings" part was also a bit weak. He heroine got on with her lot without much protests.

It was a quick read. Nothing to really rock my boat.

Before writing this review I had to remind myself what I had read and that was only after 1 day!! Totally unmemorable. Beware the 2 samplers at the end of the story are about the same length as the main story, so don't be fooled by the file size on amazon. A bit of a wizz!
