I can never get enough of Lori Wick's books. The storyline is always believable and you can not always tell the way the story is going to develop. Good clean fiction with romance and solid Christian principles

Sappy to the extreme, the plot line is unbelievable, and for an historical romance novel there has clearly been very minimal research done as nothing is true to the period. Not to mention the fact that any interactions between characters are heavily clichéd and superficial. Also this novel seems to be promoting not just Christianity (the couple can only be truly happy once they both follow the will of God, God orchestrates everything, including forced marriages apparently, yada yada yada), but Catholicism in particular, as in the epilogue the characters bemoan the fact that Henry VIIIth has begun the Reformation of the Church, going on about how bad this is for the country. Also the nuns are made out to be saint-like, making no profit for themselves and being wholey altruistic, another historically innacurate view, the Church has always hoarded wealth, and abbeys were no exception to this rule. Gah. A nonsense piece of literature, if you can call it that. Don't buy it, especially not new. If you are desperate to subject yourselves to this then buy it second hand atleast then you won't have wasted so much money.

Follow the journeys of a young maiden in King Henry's era, and learn of the struggles of life way back then. What would it be like to be told, "You have to marry him" or, "You have to marry her"? I can relate to Megan, and I love to laugh, cry, and even be stubborn right along with her. I enjoy following her mischevious acts, and like to imagine, what if that was me? This is a MUST-READ book.

I first read "The Knight and the Dove" about a year ago. It has been reread many times, I can assure you. I am only 13 years old, and I had the plot didn't go over my head, as many adult novels do. Ms. Wick suceeds again!
