A Unique Voice in Storytelling
22 January 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
There are 25 stories in the collection, most of them flash fiction (not absolutely certain because I don't know the word count), along with a couple of poems. The subject matter is really diverse, although her voice is recognizable in each one. A combination of experimental writing, story telling and (fictional?) memoir, each one offers glimpses into ordinary lives and events written in a straight forward manner with some subtle humor and without distraction from flowery language. My favorites were "Graham Winterbottom," "Time To Go," Takeaway," and an astonishing mixture of story, essay and biography about Marilyn Monroe in "The Last Party." There are 25 reasons to buy it.
