The stone is made of high-quality ceramic, for excellent durability and heat retention. As this is a natural, unglazed material, it’s recommended that you season the stone before the first use, by baking it for one hour at your oven’s highest temperature.
This process hardens the stone, making it even tougher. And best of all, this hardening process continues every time you bake with it!
For best results, pre-heat the stone for 15 to 20 minutes before each use. This will ensure a nice, crisp pizza base and help to stop the dough sticking.

Having attempted to make pizza at home before to poor results, this puts our home pizza game on another level, it cooks the pizza in about 10 minutes, and that’s fresh dough with uncooked toppings! The dough came out so crispy and beautiful with minimum effort!!
If you’re thinking of buying one just do it, you’ll be so amazed at the results you can get!
The pizza bakes noticeably better that it does when using a metal tray.
Really I would say the only downside is the stand that comes with it. Now unless I'm missing something here picking up a red hot stone out of the oven is a bad idea and I certainly wouldn't want to place it anywhere near people who could accidentally make contact with it.
Needless to say I will not be using the stand as I feel it would be dangerous. I don't think it should be included for that reason.
Feel free for someone to correct me if the stand has an alternative use.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT
It's worth seasoning the stone before you use it for the first time. To do this, simply rub some groundnut oil (or other oil with no flavour and a high smoking point), put it into a cold oven, turn the oven up to full whack and leave it in there for about an hour or so. Once it's fully cooled, you can use it for whatever you want and won't have to season again. The seasoning helps with making sure foods don't stick.
Always make sure you place the stone in a cold oven, and allow it to cool down afterwards naturally. Other than that, not much to worry about.
