  • Set of 3 pieces, made of durable stainless steel: a roller to make pasta sheets up to 140mm wide and 2 cutters to make fresh tagliatelle or spaghetti.
  • The Pasta Sheet roller and cutter set are powered by the stand mixer, leaving both hands free to work with the pasta.
  • Pasta dough is rolled through the adjustable Pasta Roller at a low setting, 1 or 2, to knead and flatten. At higher settings, 3 to 8, the Pasta Roller further flattens the dough for a wide range of uses, such as thick for egg noodles, medium for lasagne noodles, and thin for linguini pasta.
  • This set is not dishwasher safe

I treated myself to a Kitchenaid machine recently and I just love it...but the pasta attachment is just the best.Having struggled with a hand operated machine for years, I couldn't believe what an effortless task the Kitchenaid made of pasta mixing, rolling and cutting.Product is described as pasta attachment but you also get spaghetti and tagliatelli cutters with it - plus a little brush to clean the equipment I can now happily make my own pasta parcels etc no trouble at all - guests are always impressed.Maybe I should tell them I've spent ages slaving over their pasta rather than admitting it was so easy.

I have never made fresh pasta before, but did so last night, and it was unbelievably easy and satisfying with this pasta attachment!

Making pasta dough turned out to be very quick (using a simple recipe from the BBC Good Food website, using 5oz / 140g 00 flour, one whole egg and one egg yolk - although there are several recipes in the instructions themselves, which I didn't read..!). I made the sauce while the pasta dough briefly rested in clingfilm in the fridge, and then it was ready to roll out.

You slot the roller attachment into place on your KitchenAid stand mixer, couple of twists to screw it into place, flick it to speed 2 , and you're ready to feed the dough through it. I rolled the dough in 4 separate go's, otherwise it would get too long to handle. The next trick is to keep folding the dough and rolling it through the widest two settings to make it silky smooth and into a rectangle shape. I can see that with a hand cranked pasta roller this would be a real pain to do, and you'd most likely need someone's help to either feed the pasta dough through, or to hold the roller down and crank the handle. With the KitchenAid attachment the roller stays firmly in place, and constantly rolls automatically so you just have to drape the dough through and collect it with your other hand. I can't explain how easy this was.

The next stage is to crank the rollers thinner and thinner and roll the dough through each setting. To do this you don't even have to stop the machine - you just gently pull the nob and turn it to the next position. I stopped rolling at setting 6 (of 8) to make tagliatelle which worked well. Setting 7 was a little thin (but would be perfect for ravioli).

easy to use and clean. Much more practical than the one of the ones you have to grip to the edge of the table.

This attachment set (three machines for producing sheet, spaghetti and tagliatelle pasta) makes making pasta a fun and quick job.

I originally bought the hand machine but it was not good and I did not enjoy making pasta with it.

Now we enjoy easy quick fresh pasta!

The attachments mount easily onto the machine, don't seem to get dirty at all (you are not allowed to immerse them to clean them) and work smoothly and well. Because when they are mounted on the mixer they are so high up it is easy to control the pasta. The production speed is controllable and is slow enough at the lowest setting to be easily manageable. The sheet thickness control is quite easy to use (although the markings could be more discernible).

Afterwards the attachments pack away into the small box and do not take up much room in our small kitchen.

All in all, very pleased. Highly recommended. A fun and useful addition to our life.

I have bought this attachment for our very special daughter-in-law and she is just loving it - and so does the whole family because Mom is preparing now home made pasta (and what could taste better then that :-)))!

She told me that it is VERY easy to use and has send straight away some photos to show that they were perfect LOL.

I have a KitchenAid myself (unfortunately without all the trimmings, kids come first :-)) and would never want an other kitchen machine.

So if you are thinking of getting something REALLY special think KitchenAid and if you like pasta and have 1/2 hour to spare before you eat get the pasta attachment.

Don't think it takes too much time: the KitchenAid prepares the pastry, you let it rest for 20 minutes and the pasta attachment runs it through till you have wonderfully rolled and cut pasta. Let them dry for some minutes or boil them straight away for 3 minutes (al dente - otherwise add one more minute, they are very quickly done) and enjoy.

If a Mom of 5 children can take the time then so can you - and trust me it is worth it!

I have had one of these for a while now and it is a great addition to the KitchenAid mixer. As another reviewer has said making Pasta is so much easier with this taking the leg (or arm!) work out of the process. It looks fantastic and has been absoloutly robust since I have had it, unfazed by everything that has been thrown at it.

I think anyone who has a KitchenAid mixer and enjoys pasta would benefit from using one of these.

Why four stars - Purely the eye watering price - Great accessory but you are certainly paying for it.

I hope this review is useful to you:)
