They were delivered promptly and on the same day I got them I made my first crumpets.
As I cooked I watched and waited for the right moment to lift the rings away from the crumpets as they started to set, this was the moment of truth, all those reviewers had better be right or I'm going to kick off big time, I'd bought 6 of them, that thought just wouldn't leave me, if these things stick I've been ripped off not once but three times, I couldn't bear it, but what do I lift them off with? then in the cutlery drawer I saw the perfect answer, just what I needed, a pair of silicon tongs, foolproof I thought, yeah right, within five seconds I was suicidal, I'd tried to place the tongs around a ring BUT the non stick tongs and the non stick rings wouldn't er, stick! the tongs would not grip the ring, 'The ring won't grip the Tong' I shouted, my Wife came rushing into the kitchen thinking I was with another woman, 'It just keeps slipping away' i said.
I never thought I'd see the day when cooking aids were too good in the non stick department! But what will I do, the crumpets will burn if I don't act quickly, I thought, I know!Read more ›
I let the pan heat for a minute then I put the rings on for a minute and let them heat too.
Once hot I'll drop a tiny bit of oil in the middle of the rings and then drop an egg in. I usually turn the heat down and let them cook slower. Scoop a bit of oil to cook the top of the egg enough so you can turn the ring over without it oozing out. Cook the other side for a little bit and done. The eggs just plop out and don't get stuck. Just make sure it's hot before you put anything in there. Seems like common sense but read some reviews from people saying the egg comes out the bottom. Simply does not happen when the ring is hot. Completely not stick. Never had to scrub once. Seems fine getting put in the dishwasher.

Rusted after 1 use, absolutely rubbish unless you fancy a spot of blood poisoning with your eggs.Published 14 hours ago by Trev

This is very useful when making fried eggs which need to fit perfectly on a bagel.
