I have read LT Kelly's two previous books about the life of Tegan, vampire romance novels. This book is a change from the supernatural in that it involves "real" people. Cassie's marraige is on the rocks. Her husband Robert ignores her in favour of his work. In a last ditch attempt to save the marraige she insists they go on a holiday. However Robert takes his work with him. She is left alone. She is lying on the beach when she sees her Hollywood heart throb walking out of the sea. Jared Peterson is in hiding after his ex fiance published a dirty tricks story without foundation. He is so smitten with her that he asks her out. Robert doen't care. Things get a bit out of hand, and Cassie returns home. Jared then moves heaven & earth to get Cassie to go to America and be with him. (You will need to read the book to find out what happens)
I really enjoyed the book, the electricity between Jared & Cassie bursts of the pages. (With some quite hot sex scenes) I had to read the whole book in one go, staying up till midnight to finish it. There is far more to the book than this reviewer can say otherwise I would reveal too much. I reccomend it tolovers of romance stories and hope there will be more from LT Kelly.

HASH(0x97c49af8) out of 5 stars Love at first sight really does happen ;) 3 Sept. 2015

Cassie comes off as a very timid, self loathing, useless, worthless soul. She thinks the worst of herself and is even deathly afraid to ask her husband to go on vacation. With reading her reactions, emotions and thoughts in approaching him to bring up her vaca idea, I honestly thought he must've been abusive, or she was about to tell him some devastating news (like a incurable disease) It was very hard for me like Cassie at first possibly because I couldn't understand how she could live a life with a cold hearted bastard that is Robert (her husband) It's obvious her husband played a huge role in her low self esteem, it's just that it took another man to make her realize she was worth more than the life she'd been living. She should've left Robert even before she found out about his dirty little secret. With the way Robert spoke to her, it's hard to imagine there was ever any love between them. Robert's character was excellently written, because you hate him to the core!

There are many beautiful relations formed in this book, my favorite being that of Cassie and Vera, the mom she needed at the point in her life when things were changing and motherly advice was the push she needed to help make those changes.

Jared, who at first comes off as a little forward soon learns he has to take it slow when it comes to matters of Cassie's heart. Used to getting his own way and whatever he wants, this hollywood hearthrob soon learns sometimes the chase and a bit of patience is worth the wait. The Author uses excellent references to describe Jared's eyes, probably one of my favorite descriptions (as in any book I've ever read) was saying they were like a lagoon, so beautiful yet so dangerous, you could drown in a lagoon ;)

I enjoyed reading about the journey that took Cassie to a woman with such low self esteem to a confident, self assured, strong one. I enjoyed reading how much their love blossomed and how their love was tested. Cassie found herself, found love and found her happily ever after. And don't even get me started on the phenomenal sex ( the piano scene was......ahhhhhh divine)

HASH(0x98aa2498) out of 5 stars A Continuous Merry-Go-Round 2 Sept. 2015
By Jennifer Hines (Hines and Bigham's Literary Tryst) - Published on Amazon.com
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Cassie is a stuck in a failing marriage. She tries everything she can to resurrect it, but some things cannot be saved. In her last ditch attempt at rekindling the romance of her relationship she meets her favorite actor Jared, who is captivated by the lovely Cassie even though he knows she's married. To her, she ignores the emotions running through her every time Jared is around because she's married and not willing to even think about being unfaithful.

"I'm begging you not to hurt my baby boy. Please, think carefully about this. He'll only ever have one heart."

To Jared, he tries to stay away, but he cannot ignore the fire she lights inside him. He knows her husband is an idiot and he'd never try to seduce a married woman...normally, but he knows she feels the connection too which makes it impossible to ignore his desire. He'll chase. She'll run.

"His cover was blown, but it was all worth it because he'd just kissed Cassie."

I have mixed feelings about this book. When I first started reading Kissing Cassie I could not put it down. I'm talking I finished half the book in a few hours. Then things kind of leveled off, there was a lot of chasing with equal parts of running away, and it took me three days to finish the second half of the book. That in no way means it's bad, it is actually written very well, but somewhere along the way it lost my attention. There is however a nice little twist about Robert that you'll learn toward the end that'll make your eyes widen. I honestly did not see that one coming.

My Favorite Moment: I love kids and when they instigate a water gun fight it's quite funny.

HASH(0x98d0ac6c) out of 5 stars A tastefully done romance 22 Jan. 2016
By Matthew Peters - Published on Amazon.com
Kissing Cassie by LT Kelly tells the story of Cassie Thorton, a woman involved in a loveless marriage to an Oxford University professor. The book opens with the couple deciding to go away on vacation in an attempt to resuscitate their relationship. It is while there, at an exclusive beach resort, that Cassie meets Hollywood heartthrob Jared Peterson, whose squeaky-clean reputation has been damaged by an ex-lover. What follows is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and plot twists that hooks the reader from the outset.

Like all of Kelly’s books, Kissing Cassie is remarkable for its outstanding writing, characterization, and plot development. I’m not an avid reader of romance novels, but I was drawn to this book because of Kelly’s vampire novels, Falling to Pieces, and Falling into You. Once I started this one, I was sucked into the lives of the main characters. Their struggles became my struggles, and I held my breath several times as I eagerly read on to see how events would unfold. Nothing prepared me for a major plot twist toward the end of the novel, one that arose organically from the circumstances and added a welcomed layer of complexity and nuance.

If you like your romance novels well-written, tastefully done, with particular attention to character and detail, then you won’t want to miss Kissing Cassie. I’ve already purchased the next book in the Kissing Series, Kissing Katie, and look forward to being in the astute storytelling hands of LT Kelly once again.

With a hint of the Satanayain Character (Satanaya and the Great Nart). Cassie --who is a victim of a marriage gone wrong, sets yet another remarkable example of a faithful wife's struggle and determination to do anything within her powers to save her marriage.

Her quest dives deeply into every wife's soul, wishes, regrets, doubts, jealousy, fears and emotional struggle as she tries to save what she believe she yet has a chance to save. All while trying at the same time to resist the tangling temptation of a newly rising star in her sky.

Shattered between the temptation of a promising new love, and the desperation of her futile attempts to save the old one. Cassie ends up pushed over the edge: Troubled by her failures to save her marriage she ends up falling into the horrible pit of low self-esteem. She begins exaggerating every event as being negative and often interprets non critical comments as critical. She experience harsh social anxiety and low levels of interpersonal confidence and limits her social interaction with others.

And just when she finally accepts the death of her marriage, the peace that follows the end of the struggle, and begins to embrace the new beginning on the hands of her stubborn new love. Cassie’s new happiness doesn’t last long before she finds herself betrayed again!
Feeling conspicuous, unable to adequately express herself nor able to cope with the new pain, Cassie ends up isolating herself from the world. In waiting for a Nobel heart to save her, this time, from her own self.
HASH(0x97c491e0) out of 5 stars "Wow, I didn't see that see that one coming." 21 Sept. 2015

Not all romance novels have to break sacrements in order to stir up scintillating taboo passion. In Kissing Cassie, Cassie is in the final stages of a bad marriage: they hardly converse, don’t do anything together, and don’t engage in sex. Even the last ditch effort of a romantic get-away doesn’t reignite their relationship. But when Cassie literally falls into the arms of a gorgeous Hollywood actor, Jared, she doesn’t break her vows and sleep with him.

The pace of this book is extraordinary. The kindness, respect, and patience that Jared and Cassie show each other is the root of what makes their passion hot.

This book is full of surprises that left me saying, “Wow, I didn’t see that one coming.” That is something that I rarely find in romance books, but is a treasure.
