A collection of photographs of the Russian "muscle beach". Shows how essentially a bunch of junk has been turned into useable physical training equipment, made accessible to anyone who wants to use it. The photos show the variety of people who use the equipment, some of it made from cold war relics, machine parts, detrius from the Soviet era. Looking at this book it demonstrates to any fan of Olympic weightlifting how Soviet athletes trained in junkyards, and consistently outperformed U.S. athletes who trained in state-of-the-art facilities. Worthwhile addition to any strength afficiando's library.
