In terms of performance/quality, there's little to differentiate this from other well-known manufacturers of RAM like Crucial or Corsair. Granted, it's not overclocker's RAM, but then, what are you doing overclocking a production server anyway?! :-)
A must buy for home servers
The ram has helped the machine with transcoding on plex for streaming. This machine is only used as a media server running windows 10. Streaming to a few devices at a time on the network.
The ram has helped bring the machine up to a much better processing level and not struggling when multitasking
Installed the 2 sticks and powered up, but only saw 8Gb, but I did think I hadn't seated one stick properly when I inserted them, so took them out, swapped them over and powered back up.
16Gb detected, so all was well.
Get this RAM for your HP N54l.
I wanted to upgrade the RAM but the official stuff was very expensive. This works as it should, just be aware that WHS only sees 8GB in total, so whilst I have 12GB, only 8GB is seen by my OS. This is not a fault of this RAM.
If you plan on upgrading to a xeon then you might be better to get faster 1600Mhz.
Perfect for Celeron®, G1610T, or Pentium G2020T, as both these CPUs only support this slower speed anyway...
