Top Customer Reviews
Literally just opened the package, slotted it into my machine and turned the machine on. The machine identified the additional memory and I checked this by going to Start > Control Panel > System.
The installation process took all of 30 seconds.
This RAM sits alongside 4GB (2 x 2GB) of OCZ 1333Mhz DDR3 memory and there are absolutely no issues.
Simple, easy, no fuss and cheap at £13. Great purchase.
Looking for a new maker about 2 years ago I decided to use Kingston memory for all my builds. The value ram is for most people, you can hunt around for the faster memory if you wish (though the premium ram in my view isn't a big jump in performance, and for most not really a sensible purchase bar heavy overclockers) To date I have had no problems at all with these modules, I have 4 fitted to my own pc, have built around 8-9 pc's with this memory. All worked just great out of the box, perfect.
As with any respected maker you get a lifetime warranty. Some come as low profile DIMM's, some the normal sizes ones. Either way this is good solid memory that so far has exceeded my expectations and with 0 problems that's exactly what I'm looking for...highly recommended
Arrived quickly and worked as expected along side existing memory.
Very good price.
Dell Inspiron 580, Intel i5, OS Win7 Pro SP1 64bit, Intel i5, OCZ 64gb SSD, exHDD 2tb
As a 2nd year Media Tech student I wanted to upgrade the ram to a higher level for desktop use to complete tasks such as Adobe Master Suite CS5 working with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Of course, with my previous spec these ran fine while they were open at the same time etc, HOWEVER I am greedy and hungry for power!!
So i googled how far I could go and found out with a win7 64bit pc I could take it to 16gb! I wanted to upgrade from my 'petty' 6gb but the Corsairs were a little over budget despite their reputation and how epic they look.
Bearing in mind that unless you overclock your system (don't worry if you don't) you're really unlikely to use all of that memory anyway.
After reading the maintenance manual online for my desktop (recommend you to check that out before purchasing) I found that my motherboard could only handle no more than 1333MHz, so Yay that ruled out again to not buy the more expensive corsairs.
Expensive/Fantastic Performance Option 8gb (2 x 4gb) -
Why I didn't choose the above Corsair(s) - For one of those 4gb sticks it costs £22, this 4gb Kingston card costs £16, that means £6 saving and 2 meals while you enjoy a faster PC.
Cheaper/Reputable Brand 4gb (current Kingston product)
