This philosophy holds true not only in the interaction with others in her personal life, but also with her fictional characters and the readers of her work. As you can probably tell from the file size, it is massive and well worth the digital list price of £2.59. To give you an idea, it normally takes me around 2 to 3 hours to read a book. In contrast, I took 6 hours to read this book. Also, as a bonus, the author has included a map at the beginning (I suggest bookmarking it for when you need to flip back to it mid-adventure).
I won't bother summarising the plot as I believe it's already been done adequately under the product description.
The book starts off at the academy immediately preceding the apprenticeship ceremony. At this point, I felt that the text was a little formal and stifled. I also panicked a little bit with the extent of character introduction. However, once the author reaches the apprenticeship ceremony itself (which happens pretty early on), the story and the writing really takes off. In particular, when Tooter and her family are heading home from the ceremony, the action kicks in and the book acquires a level of urgency that doesn't go away. From that point on, the book is a pure delight to read. I'm looking forward to reading any sequels.
