In the past 2 years I have gone through 5 electric heaters... 5!! I was beginning to think the wiring in my house might be shorting them. After getting someone around to test out the house's electrics, the husband and I worked out that it must be the heater(s). Doing our research online, we discovered this little gem.

We've only used it for around a month now, but it works great and shows no sign of stopping. Here's a list of my favourite bits:

*Compact, light, and easy to carry. It is so easy to transport, we take it up and down stairs with us to whatever room we might be in. Being so small you can hold it to your chest means there's no risk of hitting the wall/scraping the wallpaper or paint! This also means it is easy to store in the summer months,
*Powerful. It is powerful enough to heat our living room comfortably, and we live in a very draughty old house.
*Price. The price really can't be beat. Considering I've thrown away about £200 on various heaters that worked for a week and then fried, this is a real bargain.
*Energy efficient. We now can keep our central heat at 15 degrees and just use this little heater in whatever room we are in. It has saved us money on our gas bill and our electric bill hasn't gone up!

Overall, I thoroughly recommend this product. Don't waste your time with other heaters.

This heater is imported by a Scottish company and it is designed and made in China. You can find this model of heater with many other brands and names in different countries of the EU, like Jack Sealey in the UK, but they are all made in the same Chinese factory. The only difference is sometimes the color. The price here is very cheap compared to other websites. The heater is 100% made of metal, painted in powder coating baked paint (like cars) and only the buttons and the handle are made of plastic. That is just as it should be. Most of the other industrial heaters using a fan have much more plastic around than this one. We have a similar Honeywell heater and I promise you that this one is much better made and unexpensive.

We have a member of the family who suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and allergies. We cannot use heaters that produce fumes, odours or humidity. We bought some DeLonghi oil heaters made in China that never stoped curing the Chinese paint. The DeLonghi heaters were still emitting fumes two years after purchase and we decided to bin them and change them for these ones.

We have been very surprised to see that this heater does not get too hot because of the fan. That is why the paint does not emit fumes in this heater. If you suffer from severe allergies, Myalgic Encephalomielitys/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity this is a fantastic unexpensive heater for you. It is a bit noisy because of the fan, but it is a very healthy heat. (If you have very serious problems with noise, then this heater is not for you). The heater dries the air.

Although, it was designed for heating industrial premises, I think that it is fantastic for a home or office. It is very light, small and portable.

Ordered because of other reviews, this has turned out to be a very sturdy heater, the all metal build will assure that it will stay that way for a while. the three element choice and thermostat makes it very economical. If there was a problem it would be that the fan stays on constantly but I have found that this actually helps keep air moving, important for a smoker. Good purchase thanks Supplier and Amazon.

The thing to bare in mind is the 2KW rating. As such I wasn't expecting masses of heat. I was using the unit in my un-insulated garage workshop during the recent cold weather and after being on for a couple of hours it had taken the edge off the cold, which I didn't think was too bad for 2KW of output. If you want something that is going to keep you toasty and warm forget it if your situation is like mine. My work shop by the way is 6m x 2.5m. The unit it's self is nicely built and tough enough to take a few knocks. The only thing I have doubts about is that the stop point on the heat selection knob feels a bit weak. I brought the 2KW model because I am limited to 13A supply to my workshop at the moment and if I run this heater, I have to consider what else I run at the same time as I only have about 5A to spare.

This heater appears to be quite robust in construction. Note that it is small, (27 x 20 x 21 cm), & puts out what feels like a fairly gentle heat. I use it in a medium sized workshop with a lot of glazing/ draughts & the heater does not make it feel hot, but it is sufficient for my needs. I can imagine taking onto worksites to help dry plaster, paint, adhesive, etc. Perhaps fixing it into a partially window to promote drying airflow (good boxy shape for this). The 2 Kw rating is perhaps safer than 3Kw when you are using a heater for long periods & the state of the wiring is uncertain. The fan sounds smooth & quiet in operation.
