The first 69% of this book held so much promise! SO MUCH PROMISE. I am bouncing, as in livid as in really, really annoyed. At 69% they've gone on a date they've had fun, they'be laughed! He's spilled his heart out and then he goes not 3 hours later and lets someone else give him a blowie! Is this book serious! Really? Really? I thought they where going places! And what does she do rant for about 2 pages then he pipes up and says the stupidest thing I have ever read..... Prepare your ovaries because he's a keeper,' I did it to push you away.' 'I wanted you to see it.'
She falls crying into his arms 'Baby' he says! VOMITS INTO NEARESS TOILET.

(P.s. 'She realises it's the first time he's called her baby' NO IT IS NOT!!!!)

Title: King
Author: T.M. Frazier
Series: King #1
Genre: dark erotic romance
Heat: 4/5
Plot: 5/5
Rating: 4.5/5

Holy s***. I basically ingested this book in one sitting and now I need more. I laughed and I cried, and I fell in love with King, Bear and Preppy. How wonderful to have such fully-fleshed characters simply in the first instalment of this series. My only complaint is that it could really do with a decent proof read and edit - with this, it would have reached the total five stars.

King is already one of my top fictional characters. I adore the conflicting dark and light within him, the fact that he makes mistakes and questionable decisions. And yet, there is this underlying part of him, fiercely loyal and able to hurt, which makes for one hell of an intriguing character. I need more of him.

I'm a huge fan of darkness, brutality and realism, and Frazier does not disappoint here. This world is a dangerous one, and it shows, right from the very beginning. There is no shying away; everything is faced head-on and in stark detail, and it's refreshing to have an author write like this. But, more than that, this was a gut-wrenching read for the emotional impact, particularly the final 25%. We know what is about to happen and are unable to prevent it. There is this beautiful sense of finality and catharsis, and, frankly, it hurt my heart a little (but the best books always do). And what a cliffy. I cannot wait to continue this series - it's been on my TBR for a long time and it absolutely did not disappoint.

Ahhh! Oh my god, what the freaking freak was that ending?!? Omg.

I loved every single second of this book, it had me hooked from the very first word. I absolutely loved King, he's such a badass with a big bad temper who doesn't know what love is until he meets his girl, his pup, his doe. Their relationship is so freaking complicated and messed up but yet so lovely, I couldn't help but root for them to end up together from the very beginning.

Bear, he seems like such a loving man. He needs to find a girl and do what he wanted before joining the MC.

Preppy, that kid was full of beans hehe I was absolutely devastated with what happened to him, The tears came flowing ahhh and then the funeral, only he could go and do something like that and make everyone laugh

Them the ending comes barrelling along and knocked me for six because I legit didn't even think that would happen, that thought never even crossed my mind and I was so surprised. I can't wait to see what happens next.

If you are looking for a book with feels then stop, you have found it. This book is amazing and I loved every minute I was immersed in its pages and I think I have fallen head over heels for T.M Frazier's writing.

The story itself packs quite the punch and leaves one hell of a lasting impression. It's full of highs and lows and filled to the brim with emotions and believe me when I say you will feel every last ounce of that emotion. I think that's why this book left a very lasting impression with me, I love the fact I connect with the story, writing and characters straight off and with no effort at all. It's fast moving though you will have no problem keeping up with the action and drama on these pages. I really can't fault anything in this story at all, well except I hated that it ended!

King and Doe... both characters are absolutely epic in my book. Who doesn't love a tattooed bad boy with attitude? I certainly wouldn't turn him away infact I will gladly keep him! Doe is fiesty and so lovable and I love how she word vomits all the time because let's face it who amongst us doesn't do it! So many other characters stand out... Preppy, Bear, Grace, I could go on and on but I don't want to bore you, so I suggest you buy the book and get yourselves introduced and start your own love story with King and T.M Frazier. I can honestly say, hand on heart, this is a book that it's very difficult not to fall in love with and enjoy every word!

I have anticipated this book for months now and it did not disappoint. This is a dark read of twisted love in a raw criminal backdrop. There's something about King, the ex-con, newly released from prison that just makes you drool for his total bad boy-ness. In some books, the bad boy shows a redeemable nature but don't expect anything from King that isn't gutter-mouthed criminal. Doe is a young woman of indeterminable age who is amnesic after a car accident. She's malnourished, without finances when King keeps her for payment of a debt. She isn't exactly a willing guest. Doe sees something in this tight threesome of friends but especially in King. One of the things I loved about this book was Preppie, King's best friend from childhood, he's a screw-up too but shows friendship to Doe when she needs it.

This book has a brutal storyline, but not once did I know where it was going, and just near the end when I could see the chips begin to fall, they fell in a completely different pattern. Good writing, gritty dialogue and an original storyline. I am in great anticipation of Tyrant and can I just say those covers are something quite wonderful - tasteful torso!
