What a cliffhanger to end on...utter brilliance as always from Paul Finch. Fast moving, intricate detail throughout. This guy is fast becoming my favourite author. If you haven't discovered Mark `Heck` Heckenburg yet, now is the time to do it!!

A series of murders have taken place in Sunderland. the victims have far right wing extreme views. DS Heckenberg known as Heck of the Serial Crime Unit in Scotland Yard has been sent to the North East of England to help with the investigation.

Alongside this another issue is in the process of taking place that features someone from Heckenberg's past and will be in his future in the further episodes of this series.

Not sure if there is anything before this? But would have liked to have known more about Heck when he is off duty.

I don't do book reviews........ I read the book and if I liked it I give it up to 5 stars, if I didn't then it gets a 2, if I didn't finish then it's a 1, that's it I'm afraid.

I read it, I like it, I want more from the author.

As with a vast number of Kindle books there might be the odd spelling and punctuation errors.
After reading over 300 Kindle books you get use to them and they become less noticeable, unless they effect the story.

i would recommend to buy "the stalkers" first to get in the story and set up the action, the "killing club" is coming after.
I've bought it for free and when i had finished this one, i bought the whole book.
really good paul finch for sure and i'll recommend it.
actually my third book of him in couple of weeks.

Received as a gift so felt compelled to read. Even at zero cost this is overpriced given the couple of hours I had to invest in reading a truly awful novel. Plot is one dimensional as are the characters who have the misfortune to inhabit the plot line that could have been written by a twelve year old. No twists, no turns....perhaps took slightly longer to write than to read. Fans of genuine crime writers such as Macbride, Billingham, Rankin et al should really avoid at all costs. As an ex cop the author should at least be cognisant with Police procedure. And just for future reference, a Glock does not have a safety catch.

Had trouble reading other books after this. I think I've read all of Paul finch's books now, he must have a great mind, so get him to write some more, they are always good stories.

Thi s book I found very exciting, sorry it only went up to 1-6. Made me want to buy the rest. Paul Finch has a great way of leading the reader into the story.
