This is the fourth in the series by Maggie Sefton. There are even more characters introduced into the story and it becomes a little complicated to follow everyone's side-plots and background. But the mystery is interesting and Kelly is likeable as ever. Things are finally starting to go right in Kelly's life and it's nice to see how she is adjusting to the move and what lies in store for her now she's settled. Not a deep or challenging book, but a nice read with sweet characters and fun dialogue.
The book also includes a pattern for a cable knit scarf and a mint chocolate fudge recipe.

Amateur sleuth Kelly is up to her old tricks again in this festive cosy crime story.

After spinning teacher Lucy's fiancé Derek is found murdered, there seems to be only one prime suspect: local alcoholic and Derek's former flame, Diane. However, as Kelly gets to know Diane, another friend of one of her knitting buddies Jennifer, and like her, she suspects all is not as it seems and is determined to solve the crime.

I so loved this knitting mystery- the fourth book in the series. There's just something so warm and reassuring about re-acquainting yourself as a reader with Kelly and her gang of friends at the Colorado knitting shop `House of Lambspun.' The old favourites all make a much welcome appearance here- Jayleen, Burt, as well as Kelly's `loveable' Rottweiler, Carl. There's romance, intrigue and of course knitting in abundance! The book also features one of the knitting patterns from the story, as well as a delectable sounding recipe to try if you are that way inclined.

Unfortunately I can't knit myself (zero patience!) but that in no way detracts from my enjoyment of these books. Do yourself a favour and curl up with this series- preferably starting with book one so you can get a real feel for the characters and how DC accountant Kelly wound up in this fantastic cosy town.
