Killer I was great. Killer 2 was fabulous. Killer 3 is absolutely fantastic. Jack Elgos writes books like Formula One racers drive cars. The pages flick by and my only regret is that this author does not have another book in the series.

You know when you're reading a good book when a bookmark is rarely used, if at all, or you notice with horror that the percentage read on your eReader is racing towards 100% far too quickly.
Such is the case with this trilogy of unputdownable pulp fiction at it's very best. The plot behind these books is a simple story of revenge. Darren McCann grew up on the troubled streets of Belfast in the 70s where he learned to fight and where he got rather good at inflicting violence, so much so that the IRA wanted to recruit him. Young Darren wanted nothing to do with the cause until his Ma was brutally murdered....and here the tale of revenge begins. Darren's journey through these 3 books is very violent but also very, very funny. The characters are larger than life but not so much that they appear unbelievable. The same can be said for the adventures that Darren finds himself having (including a bank robbery with ETA and jail breaks in Spain).
Darren is brutal but likeable and you find yourself rooting for him in all his escapades although you know you shouldn't be.
This last book finds Darren getting closer to exacting the retribution he has longed for for so many years....but you'll have to read the book to see if he was successful!

This was just a fantastic finish to a great trilogy. This kept me reading long after I should have been asleep, I just couldn't put it down. If you like sitting on the edge of your seat, you really need to read this!!!

I took this book away on holiday with me and absolutely loved it! Full of suspense and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Finished it within a couple of days as I raced towards the conclusion - I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended!!

This third and concluding instalment for the Killer trilogy marks a triumph of two sorts. First, Elgos has bucked a trend so often seen in serialised works of fiction by cranking up the tension across the three books rather than allowing it to dissipate, reaching a shattering crescendo by the final pages. Second, whilst already accomplished, this work is the exhilierating peak of a man at his craft. His style has matured and tightened and Killer III has all the hallmarks of a crime thriller classic, putting him in the league of the few greats that have come to define this genre. Elgos has arrived.

This book the last in a series of three was a really good read, will certainly look out for Jack Elgos in the future. Quite a vivid portrayal of the IRA but put in such a way that I had trouble in putting it down. Found the ending quite sad but of course it settled all the 'Accounts for Butch' and he was expecting it in a way...........

Really based on the old way: If you do that you will hurt me and if you don't do it we will hurt you!

Would recommend anyone who likes a blood thirsty read to buy it!

A very good holiday read but a little disappointing after the excellent first two books that left you wanting to read more but maybe that was because it was the final book , If you have read one and two you have to read three Recommended

A mind blowing end to an amazing trilogy. Yet again the author outdid himself and penned a brilliant thriller that was a adrenaline pumper. So many different twists and turns to the plot that are penned to perfection had me riveted to this work of art. The end of this story caught me out, I thought that the main character was going to disappear into the wide yonder, possibly to make an appearance at a later date. This novel is a masterpiece and I would recommend it to any action or thriller fans.
