I THINK THIS MAYBE MR SEAGAL'S MOST VIOLENT FILM ?
2 SERIAL KILLERS ON THE LOOSE AND MR SEAGAL GOES AFTER THEM . THERE IS A GREAT FIGHT SCENE IN A BOOZER WHERE MR SEAGAL ACTUALY SEEMS TO GET À FEW GOOD WACKS . BUT I LOVE THE PART WHEN HE MAKES À PERP'S TEETH CREW THE BAR COUNTER AND THE PERP LOOSES À FEW TEETH . AND MR SEAGAL TAKES AN HAMMER TO 1 OF THE PSYCHO'S KNEES - ARMS AND ELBOWS !
WHAT À NICE MAN HE IS ? BLESS HIM !

I love Seagal, and have always enjoyed his movies, and this applies on this one. However, Seagal is the only really good thing about this movie. Throughout watching this film, I always thought It has potential to be a great film, but it lacked in many aspects. First, apart from Seagal, the rest of the actors seem totally out of place, and they are probably the worst group of actors I have ever seen in a film. I could not recognize anyone, and their acting seemed very robotic, and looked as if they did not know what they were doing. The story itself is Ok, and the actions sequences are quite good, though at some points they seem to whiz by very fast. I would only recommend this film if you are a big fan of Seagal, or you just want to enjoy a movie with some action and nothing to think about. I hope the next Seagal movie would be a lot better than this one, cause lately he has not been in a movie that shows how good he really is.

So the recovery continues since the nadir of Attack Force and Mercenary for Justice... Here, after the better attempts given to us in recent outings Urban Justice and Pistol Whipped, Seagal is Jacob King, a Memphis detective with a troubled past on the trail of a serial killer who leaves cryptic clues...

"Wait!", I hear you say, "this is very derivative", and you'd be right... I guess it's best described as se7en-lite, but hey, compared to some of the awful voice-dubbed fluff we've had to endure of late, this is a far more 'together' piece of work.

Seagal wrote this one, and as such he's not content to whisper his way through proceedings, he's far more engaged here than he has been for a long time. Sure, it's not an all out action flick, instead more of a cop thriller as with the precious two outings, but that's no bad thing... Seagal has failed to convince as an action hero for a while now and this more measured pace suits him better... Although, it should be said there are 3 or 4 terrific (and very lengthy) fight scenes here which are better than anything seen from him for ages, but sadly Seagal feels the need to use a body double extensively throughout (apart from the final dust-up) which is not only a shame, but also very odd seeing as he's an Aikido Master!?....

Never the less, this is far more coherent, better paced and well acted (including good a support performance from Issac Hayes) than many previous efforts and for Seagal fans and DTV fans in general, well recommended....

I loved it...

kill switch is dtv again , the film fails bad acting , horrid set pieces and the action was cheesy the thugs get punched put throo glass and beat but they have no realism it is like they intendeed it for adults and we want a bloody revenge film this is tame and the editing is terrible .Seagal is so lame the film is one for the bin it is a cop vs killer film like always just bin it

This was nearly a stupid but great B movie! The big problem is that everytime seagal starts fighting - it goes into epileptic, crazy camera mode. There's a lot of ass kicking in this movie and the fights are long and violent (slit wrists, broken bones etc) but they are realy ruined by the dumb modern camerawork. I dont need to see seagal doing more than just slapping someone about. Theres no need to make it more 'exiting' and faster by crazy direction.
The first part when he throws someone out of a window is very funny as they show it like 10 times - that was good and was the only place it worked (for comedy effect). Also the ending is so innapropriate its real funny and I liked that too.
Stupid plot, bad acting (Isaak hayes is fine as always) are all good but why did the director have to destroy what is nearly a top notch crazy B movie?
