I think the recipe's are rather plain. Also I hadn't realised it's American therefor the measurements are American, which isn't handy as you need to convert them. Also some ingredients we are not familiar with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful cookbook 19 Mar. 2013

Purchased for my friends child who loves to cook. He is on the autism spectrum and has a lot of difficulty interacting with other people- unless he is cooking. He's made most of the recipes in the book, and we will be looking for another in this series for his next gift. Well done!
5.0 out of 5 stars Get this cookbook for the budding young cook in your life! 3 Feb. 2017

Best children's cookbook I have ever gotten for my many young relatives just starting to explore in the kitchen. Good variety of recipes that the kids enjoy making. I don't bother rotating among other cookbooks when buying a first cookbook for youngsters any more. I always get this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice cookbook 26 Feb. 2014

Though I like this cookbook, I was hoping for simpler recipes for a younger child around age 9. I remember my first cookbook as a kid and it was fun, easy, and kid focused food. This book seems to have more adult food, and children definitely need adult supervision.
5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended 9 July 2013

I have really enjoyed cooking with my nephews using this book. The pictures are great. The quality of the book/paper is fantastic. It's not going to fall apart. The selection of recipes is also really fun and appropriate. None of them are super difficult, and the font size/layout/etc is geared well for children who are learning to enjoy cooking.

4.0 out of 5 stars A gift 7 Oct. 2013
By Sam - Published on Amazon.com

I sent this to my niece as a gift, but did have a chance to skim through it first. Nice pictures and easy to understand instructions make it good for an 'early cook'. She's eight, likes to experiment with cooking,, and seemed to enjoy the book.
