'Kidnapped (Spanish: Secuestrados)' is a Spanish psychological home-invasion chiller film that premiered in the Fantastic Fest annual film festival in Austin, Texas 2010 to a positive reception. On being premiered, the film won awards for best director and best horror feature in the Horror Jury Award, for excellence in the Horror genre.

The story involves a family who move into their new house. They are then taken hostages by a group of dangerous robbers.

The movie has a tense opening scene, which straight away gives you that uneasy feeling. The movie then progresses with suspense, graphical violence, disturbing scenes (please view with caution) and ultimately finishes with an ending that stays with you. The climax is unexpected but that's me being subtle.

It's one of the effective chillers I've seen in recent times. I was disturbed, horrified and also frightened by the events. So, it succeeds in what it set out to do. However, at the same time, I felt frustrated and a bit cheated overall (you'll know what I mean when you watch it). An annoying thing about the film was, it becomes too noisy, which after a while is just uncomfortable but that's not a deterrent.

The performances of all the actors involved is perfect.

Miguel Ángel Vivas as the director has made the movie in real time format with long takes and at times shows the events in split-screen. All this combined, creates realism making the gut-wrenching feel worse. The main themes he concentrated on were fear and violence, both of which define the film. Another really important thing that he succeeds in doing is making the viewer experience the emotions of the victims.

The tagline of the feature was 'Take your last breath'. I should've taken that as a warning, trust me it applies to us viewers as well.

'Secuestrados' is unflinching and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Fantastic! This is what a horror in your home film should be like. An adult take on real life drama with acting so damn good that it made me feel like I was living it with them. Who cares if its original or not ( what is now ) but Hollywood take a note and learn how to make a cracking good film. All the cast were excellent but the young girl was fantastic and the last 20 minutes I could feel her pain, every moment of it. 2nd only to the terror comes calling French ' Inside ' film. Excellent. Loved all of it...

This is a truly shocking movie that I have seen in a long time. I chose to watch the original version which is in Spanish with English Subtitles (there is a dubbed English version). The action starts almost immediately and is relentless until the shocking end. I thoroughly recommend this to all horror enthusiasts.

We could have looked over the fact it was dubbed in English if the movie itself was worth watching.....NOT. Don't waste your money or your time.

A very gritty horror/thriller film throughout..
My only slight negative was when I felt the movie had suddenly come to
an abrupt ending but all in all a very good film.
