we bought it for her at christmas.
it was not the easiest kitchen to put together it comes in many pieces but at least every piece was labeled unlike adult self assembly.
So dont leave it until last minute.
she loves playing with the microwave oven
the only downside on this is not all the buttons and controls work on
the kitchen and kids do love pretending to twist and turn knobs to make it more real.
BUT well worth the money
My impressions, despite an almost 3hour task to complete its assembly, is that it is a well designed and sturdy product that justifies its cost.
The assembly booklet at first looked very daunting but once all the component parts, which were individually wrapped, were removed from their packaging it became apparent that each piece had an identifying number stuck to it and the instructions became very easy to follow. The pictures in the booklet were clearly set out in a simple step by step sequence and this together with its variety of bolts, lock nuts and screws clearly labelled on a 'blister card' made the assembly very straight forward.
The finished product is quite impressive. Its solid wooden and metal components will, I am sure, make it a very enduring present that will give lots of pleasure for a very long time to come. Can't wait to see it in use.
The only downside is the cupboards are quite for strongly latched and were tough for a 2 year old to open and close, so be prepared for slamming doors. Also the photos of it does make it appear larger than it really is, but it is a nice size.
We had considered the ikea kitchen which is brilliant, but I'm glad we went with this instead (although nowhere near as easy or satisfying to put together as Ikea furniture!).
