Great sound on this superb live album from a band I didn't really listen to in the eighties. I have only recently got hold of this and am amazed at what I have missed. Yes,some of the poetry on here is dated but still fun to listen to and a hell of a lot of the music seems just as relevant now as it did then. Tories? Cuts? Unemployment? Three things that go hand in hand. Give it a listen...

I bought this as a cassette tape in 1987 after seeing them at an open air festival in Chesterfield. Brilliant live, brilliant live album, some of the poetry has dated, but if you remember what it was like fighting Thatcher and the Tories in the 80's, thinking we would win and that the world might just be a better place, well this is as good bit of agit punk nostalgia as you will get. Just don't think about what we ended up getting instead (better than the Tories true, just, but not what we wanted) If ever there was a time for bands like the Neurotics then it is now!

Great band on top form. Various others add bits of poetry along the way, some of which sounds a bit dated, including Phil Jupitus masquerading as 'Porky the Poet. He's still porky but doesn't seem to write much poetry these days.
