Scott Ashley was the KICK Super Welterweight World Champion; the highest level of achievement of a full contact kickboxer. He is as qualified an author of such a guide as there is. In this book, he takes you through all the considerations a fighter must make during his training. Extensive guides on running and your gym training, including shadow boxing, bag work (heavy, double end and speed bags), sparring, callisthenics and stretching, as well as nutrition and proper training and rest scheduling. Scott Ashley outlines an overall training schedule that is simple to follow and if undertaken, can drastically change the course and quality of your life for the better; whether for the purposes of becoming a top conditioned and schooled martial artist, or to enter the arena of full contact kickboxing!
In my fighting career, this is the book I turn to for reference. It's not a read-and-done deal; this guide can be invaluable on your martial arts journey if you choose to absorb what it offers. The book caters all levels; to those just starting their training and learning the basics (as it details the basic techniques in depth; the techniques you really need), and it also caters to experienced fighters who now have the opportunity to learn from a champion who has reached the pinnacle of professional fighting.
An inspiring section on motivation is the icing on the cake.
I strongly recommend you purchase this book and enjoy the journey of training like a champion!
