[I]t is nice to see a book like this. A book that gives us beautiful buildings, something to inspire people and to show what architecture can do. These are buildings that stand the test of time and will continue to inspire new generations who will push what is possible even further.... for students to become inspired to reach for the stars.
About the Author
Richard Weston, an architect, landscape designer, and author, is professor of architecture at Cardiff University. His books include the monograph Alvar Aalto (winner of the 1995 Sir Banister Fletcher Prize) and the definitive monograph on the Danish architect Jorn Utzon; The House in the Twentieth Century; Materials, Form and Architecture; and Key Buildings of the 20th Century. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
