Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I was hoping this might be a companion to 'Advanced Latin: Materials for A2 and Pre-U' but it seems like a rather lazy way of attempting to make more sales, in my opinion. It does not provide answers or mark schemes, rather it provides translations (and not always translations that are literal and true to the original Latin) for the passages. This is of limited use to either pupils or teachers. If questions have been created (as in the first book) then the answers should be given as then pupils and teachers know what the author of the questions expected. Considering that Stephen Anderson was involved in the writing of both books, one suspects that he is well aware of what the author (himself) was looking for when setting the questions, and could therefore, structure the companion book accordingly.

Nevertheless, the translations are vaguely useful (although I believe most of them are available on the internet for free and can be found with a quick Google search) so I have given this two stars instead of one. However, I must be honest and say that had I known the content of this book prior to purchase, I would have saved my money as it offered me nothing that I could not either create for myself or find easily on the internet.
