Kevin Flude's main interest is telling stories about the past. He has done this either as an author, curator or as guide and lecturer. London is the subject he loves.
He lectures at Central Saint Martins on the M.A. for Narrative Environments Course, and at the University of Westminster on a course teaching 'public history'.
He has worked in the Museum world since 1976. First at the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art, then as a archaeologist including at the Museum of London (1977-84). He was an Assistant Keeper at the Victoria and Albert Museum between 1984-1987. Since 1987 Kevin has worked freelance as a consultant in many museums, lecturing on the museums, history and archaeology of London and directed the transformation of the Old Operating Theatre Museum from 1988 to 2014.
