Obviously the author of this book has never lived or visited Kenya or Nanyuki or Nairobi. There is never daylight at 10p.m for golf or anything else. The heat is never suffocating in either place because of the high altitude of these parts of Kenya which makes the climate very pleasant. More research required.

I picked the book because I love reading about Africa. I didn't realise that it was going to be a sloppy romance! I persevered and enjoyed some descriptions of Kenya. I wonder how much the author knows about Kenya as a couple of times her descriptions were a bit strange. One mistake was her description of the golf club at Karen where she says the players had enough light to be able to play until 10 at night! Anyone who knows Kenya will be aware that this is impossible.

A love story with a Kenyan backdrop. Not very complex or layered - just a simple love story set in beautiful Kenya.

Is Sarah Baker the new Jilly Cooper? A chick lit fast moving romp taking in ex pat African glamour, army officers, riding, booze and lots of sex. A good escapist read.....I look forward to Sarah's next book
