To further enhance the capability of Kenwoods Chef and Major kitchen machines, a wide range of attachments have been developed. Each attachment uses a specific outlet according to the speed it needs to run at and each outlet is optimized for a range of dedicated food preparation tasks.
This pasta roller attachment quickly and easily attaches directly into the slow speed outlet of the Kenwood Chef or Major kitchen machines. The heavy duty stainless steel body is excellent for large quantities. The unique roller assists the feeding of pasta dough into the attachment and there are nine variable thickness settings that are easy to adjust. The pasta roller is essential to allow use of any of the other pasta attachments available in this range: Tagliatelle (AT971A), Trenette (AT973A), Tagliolini (AT972A), Spaghetti (AT974A).

If you've been baffled by the people saying they have difficulty fitting the pasta maker, don't worry the action is the same as for any other front fitting Kenwood accessories. I set the machine running as slowly as I can, offer up the attachment, open the lock and gently push. It all goes together as if that were the way it's supposed to happen.
Oh wait, that is the way it's supposed to work. Sorry, I'm probably overly familiar with Kenwoods, Chef owner for 27 years and currently I think it's a major. (6 years).
There is an issue possibly? The original documentation certainly did explain how to fit all accessories, it's possible the new documentation doesn't. But having a quick read of the manual might help possibly?
I did have ten minutes of bad language trying to attach it to the machine, but eventually went to the Kenwood site and watched a video. All became clear. Also, I find it's easier if you put the mixer on it's back.
This is a great attachment and the only reason I haven't give it five stars is because it was a teeny bit fiddly to attach initially, and I haven't quite worked out how to clean it between the rollers.
This was a great price and great fun to use. I have made enough pasta sheets to feed the five thousand, so now I have a stock in the freezer.
This was so easy to use apart from inserting the motor into the machine which took about ten minutes of fiddling but I am hoping that there is a knack to this and it will be easier next time.
Other than that that it was easy-peasy and the result was lovely thin silky smooth pasta.
I will have to make a lot of pasta to justify the cost of this but - hey - its a hard life and I think I can cope with that.
The thickness goes from 1 (thick) to 9 (thin), and for ravioli sheet I used 7, more thin its dificult to work with it
The device is beautifull and it works.
good pasta, used mainly for lasagne, tortellini or ravioli.
Easy to clean too.
My only issue is the connection is not straight forward.
You need to fiddle with it a lot sometimes, to match the rods in fitting place.
