He comes to Evan as he is too scared of his wife or work finding out about it. He gets more nervous when he drops one of the photos and can’t recover it and decides to take it into his own hands.
Evan also goes to check things out and that’s where things get messy for them both. Loads of action revolving around strippers, exotic dancers, the police and a bit of love interest and quite a few run ins with the bad guys !
Great read, well written with great pace and fantastic characters. It’s a pleasure to read and I would recommend highly.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
The story line is clever and the continuity is not affected by switching between characters in the story. The use of Ketamine as a drug to be used in stings is original, but I sincerely hope that this drug is not used for that purpose in real life, but I’m probably wrong there. All in all a very good read I'm beginning to like Evan and the teaser for me is, is Evan's wife Sarah alive? If so, why did she leave him? I hope this question continues to pop up in further books as it will add an intriguing sub story and add depth to the character of Evan. I'm looking forward to reading about what Evan gets up to next time.
From page one, it was a turner. Evan Buckley, a P.I. is asked to help his friend Jesse after Jesse found himself compromised in a Kentucky nightclub, run by a real madam, ugly with it too!
I won't spoil it, just suffice to say it leads a merry blackmail dance that ends successfully for everyone but the baddies.
Well done James Harper.
