Top Customer Reviews
The Kensington Orbit Optical Wired USB Trackball is PC or Mac. This is probably the best track ball ever, for whatever price, its ball moves smoothly. It's around the size of a ping pong ball.
The other track balls have some problem. For example, my Microsoft Trackball Explorer has buttons under the thumb which felt awkward. The Logitech M570 Trackball Cordless has very good button placement, a scroll wheel and the track ball under the thumb makes for very quick pointer movement, but it is difficult to position the pointer precisely with your thumb.
This one, on the other hand, has everything correct:
There are no drivers just plug and use.
The price is reasonable.
The size is suitable for large or small hands.
The ball is positioned under the fingers for precise positioning and it spins freely from the start.
There is a scroll ring and it spins smoothly and freely.
The buttons are a bit further from the ball than I expected, but one quickly adapts and their position means that the force is primarily downwards rather than sideways, which reduces the unit's tendency to move on a smooth surface.
I do find the ball is too sensitive and easy to move. I wish the ball had a bit more resistance to movement. It responds to a mosquitoe's fart. All it takes is for me to breath, and my finger moves, and so does the pointer. A mouse has a bit of resistance to movement, friction between the mouse and desk. Enough to damp out breathing and heart beat. It is just too responsive.
The buttons are not responsive enough, requiring too much effort to click. Click a button, and the finger on the ball moves marginally, and off shoots mouse pointer....
Not bad, but not 5 stars.
the buttons only work at the very front and are far apart. Maybe good if you have large hands even mine are not small.
I would look for better but I guess the prices is ok.
I use it now with both hands.
The Scoll Ring works when it feels like it.
I wanted a Logiteck M570 but was put off by reviews. Thumb trackballs are ergomomically correct.
Wasted my money here. Ugh!
The ball is really smooth though and I use it professionally all day every day with no ergonomic issues.
It's also very easy to clean.
If it breaks, I will buy this product again, if it's available.

This is a very nice trackball. I have been using it for months.... I just wish there was a model with a third mouse button: It is quite important for UNIX and LINUX terminals!Published 6 days ago by Vladimir
the only downside is does not have a auto off you have to switch it offPublished 22 days ago by Glenn Andrews
Works well and as expected. I don't find much need for the two front (further away) buttons, but that may just be due to the way I work.Published 22 days ago by Chiveton House
